Notes on prices
Prices are for 4 sharing the property per week.
Late booking Discount available for rentals paid in full at time of reservation.
Children under 5 years of age are not accepted because of insurance & pool safety issues. Additional guests are charged at £25 per person, this includes laundry changes weekly.
September-March heated pool at 30 degrees, weekly pool cleaning all year round. In the interests of all guests we would ask that you do not smoke inside the villa.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover days are Wednesday and Saturday but if you require a different day please ask.

Accommodation

Notes on accommodation
The private pool heated at a constant 30 degrees is a must have during the cooler months September - March to take the chill off the water. The pool is not Solar powered and is heated with a Heat Pump to maintain a constant temerature. The villa is modern, only 2 years old with light and airy living space, the internal build of the property is a spacious 50sqm on a generous plot of 250sqm.

Safety Issues - because of the safety issues with pool Area and cacti in the garden we are unable to accommodate children less than 6 years of age. If you have younger children and feel happy with the pool safety please send us an email.
The pool is kidney shaped and measures approximately 16 x 8 feet with a depth of about 41/2-5ft with steps at one end and an exit ladder at the other.

Smoking Policy - in the interests of all guests we would ask that you do not smoke inside the villa. There are ashtrays provide for use outside.

Amenities/Facilities provided

Accessibility
The villa is one storey with a single step on the front door leading to the hall. As with most properties on this complex the internal doors leading to the outside areas have a step of approx 6 inches depth to the fully tiled sun terrace. The tinted double patio doors also lead directly to one side of the fully tiled sun terrace.

Outside
Large South facing tiled patio area leading to the private heated pool which is not solar heated and maintains a temperature of 30 degrees throughout the winter months. It is not normally required during the Summer Months.

Sorry we do not provide pool or Beach towels. Outside there are 4 sunbeds, 2 with washable covers and 2 with soft vinyl, a patio table and 6 chairs and 2 occasional tables, pool shower and 2 large parasols.

There is a small selection of plastic glasses and plates and for your safety we suugest they are used round the pool area. An electric barbeque/hotplate for table top cooking ideal for outside meals plus an electric wine cooler (there is an electric socket on the patio).

Coast/Beach
The resort of Corralejo has several beaches (3km / 5 minute travel time). The National Park and sand dunes are approx 10 mins drive - beautiful beaches ideal for wind-surfing, sunbathing and walking.

If you do not wish to drive there is a cheap, reliable local bus service which takes you to Corralejo where you can travel to all parts of the Island.

Golf
There are 2 golf courses located at Caleta del Fuste appprox 30-45 mins drive. Golf clubs are available for hire there. We are informed a golf course is to be opened in late 2008 just a short walk or drive from La Capallania.

Travel
Fuerteventura airport is approx a 30 mins transfer time. Airport transfers can be arranged if required from 40 euros each way. Car hire for a week is from as little as 110 euros per week depending on the time of year.
If you wish to visit other areas in the South of the Island car hire is recommended. Petrol (Sin Plomo) was 85 cents a litre when we were last there at Christmas and New Year 0/08.

Distances
Corralejo 3km / 5 min drive. By taxi approx 4.20 euros / £3 and 1 euro by bus. Flag beach 4km / 7 min drive. Calleta de Fuste 45 min drive. El Cotillo 15 min drive. Villa Verde 5 min drive. Lajares 10 mins. Water park Corralejo 5 min drive. Puerto del Rosario, (the capital) with many shops, bars and restaurants and historical places to visit 25 minutes drive. The Zoo is about 120km depending on the route taken.

Further details
There are many good local bars and restaurants in Corralejo, Lajares, Villaverde, El Cortillo details of which can be found in the villa, please bear in mind these are places we have visited during our long stays on the Island.
From Corralejo Port the ferry can take you to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote and you can then explore this Island also, there are many hotels if you wished to take a short 2 day visit.
If you like animals and tropical gardens a visit to the Zoo at La Lajita in the South of the Island is a must, go early to see all of the daily shows its about 120km/1½ hour’s drive depending on which route you take to the South of the Island. While you are in the south why not visit Jandia and its fantastic beaches also Gran Tarajal. In Corralejo there is the Baku Centre where you will find a Bowling Alley, Driving Range, Water Park and a twice weekly market this is 3km from La Capellania. Bike and Quad Hire are available in the town.

Booking notes
A non refundable deposit of £100 per week is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to the holiday. A £100 refundable breakages deposit is required to be added to final payment. This will be returned after a final check by our agent, this may be after your departure. The villa is available from 2pm on arrival and must be vacated by 11am on day of departure (unless agreed with owner). Please advise flights times when making a booking.
No pets are allowed.

Guest comments
Fuerteventura is a great destination if you are looking for rest and calmness. The house is very well equipped, internet, plasma tv and everything you need if you feel like cooking. The swimming pool area it’s great, we spent most of the time there. You also have very handy tapas restaurants that also serve breakfasts. if you need to go to the village for some party and you don’t want to take the car there is a taxi stop. Don’t miss el cotillo and playas grandes beaches. From Carmen, June 2008
