Villa Paraiso Golf is situated a short 5-10 minutes walk from the sand dunes, the protected lagoon and the long beautiful Maspalomas beach which stretch along the coast from the nearby Faro lighthouse, this stunning and very private upmarket Hacienda style villa has TV/DVD, Wi Fi, stereo etc and features an expansive garden, including its own private solar heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, landscaped with bougainvillea and flowers and shrubs. Yet, all the modern facilities (restaurants, supermarkets, taxis etc) may be found less than a 5 minute stroll away in the Faro 2 Centre. This is a 3/4 minute drive from the extensive nightlife of the Yumbo, Cita and Kasbah centres in Playa del Ingles, as well as close to all the main holiday attractions of Gran Canaria: Holiday World Fairground, Aqualand, Perla Canaria, Go Karting, Jeep Safaris and Camel Tours and the main golf course of Maspalomas which is a 2 minute stroll from the front door!

Notes on prices
The euro price is based on the exchange rate at time of reservation. Prices cover up to 6 people and are usually based on weekly bookings starting and ending on the regular changeover day-in practice usually Monday or Saturday. There is a supplement of £200 pw for more than 6 as well as Easter. Other public, half term holidays and carnival/Pride celebrations may be subject to a £100 pw surcharge. Please check and ask for a specific quote. We try to be flexible and price sensitive.

Generally Monday or Saturday to Saturday to tie in with the majority of direct international flights. Check for further information and particular availabilities.

Bedrooms: Bedrooms 1 and 2 feature built-in wardrobes, double beds, bedside tables and chests of drawers - both are brightly decorated with imported Osborne and Little wallpapers and fabrics.
Bedroom 3 features two single beds, wardrobe and bedside table.
Bathrooms: Marbled en-suite bedroom features deluxe bath/shower, wash basin and wc.
Bathroom 2, also marble and uniquely designed throughout, features spacious shower with bright discreet skylight, designer marble wash basin and wc.
Kitchen: Modern designer kitchen incorporates breakfast bar, gas and electric hob, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave.
Utility Room: Washing machine (top loading).
Living Rooms: Large living room with two large leather sofas, antique rustic furniture including sideboard, coffee table, wine cabinet and decorated with colourful works of art. TV/DVD/music system.
Other: The villa features an extensive shaded terrace at the front of the house. Adjacent to the the lounge, kitchen and swimming pool it is perfect for outdoor dining, relaxation and keeping an eye on the pool.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are included, changed weekly, although the towels are for domestic use only. We recommend you bring your own for beach and pool use.

 

Notes on accommodation
In addition to your own private pool, there is a large shared pool at the rear of the property. Air-conditioning is available throughout the house, although due to the solid design and construction, is rarely necessary. The house also boasts a private and very extensive English library housing over 2000 books, CDs and DVDs, access to which may be made available by special arrangement.

Outside
Large portable gas powered barbecue available, antique rustic dining table with seating for 6-12 people. Sun loungers. The private pool is 5m x 3.5m and 1 - 1.5 metres deep. The shared pool at the rear of the property is 14m x 8m in size and ranges in depth from 30 centimetres (ideal for infants!) to 1.5m. It is not heated - but this is unnecessary between May and November.

Coast/Beach
Main beaches of Maspalomas and Melonares 5-10 minutes walk. The Maspalomas beach stretches for 7 kilometres along the coast, skirted by the largest sand-dunes area in Europe, but is nevertheless well served by restaurants and small bars along its entire length, retaining its essential natural beauty. The nearby lagoon is a protected area for wildlife, featuring rare plants and birds, and water teeming with fish. Perfect for long walks along the coastline and spectacular views of the mountains.

Golf
The house is ideal for golfers, with the Maspalomas golf course across the road from the house, the Melonares golf course less than 5 minutes drive and the golf course at Salobre about a 7 minute drive or taxi ride. There are other golf courses within a short drive at Bandama, El Cortijo and Tauro. Maspalomas, Melonares, Tauro, Bandana and El Cortifo are to international tournament standard.

Travel
Las Palmas airport is 15-20 minutes by car or taxi. We can arrange airport transfers.

Distances
The villa is in a quiet and exclusive residential area in the centre of the most upmarket part of the holiday resort of Maspalomas. Surrounded by palm lined avenues, Villa Paraiso is very close - within a few minutes walk or drive - to all the amenities the South of Gran Canaria has to offer.

Further details
Many restaurants, supermarket, shops, bank, car rental outlets etc, within a 5 minute walk at Faro 11 Shopping Centre.

Booking notes
20% deposit required to secure a booking. The balance is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. Credit/debit card payments accepted.

About the owner
I live mainly in London where I retired a few years ago from a successful career in music. In my spare time I am a postgraduate student in literature and drama at Kings College, University of London, as well as having various business interests. Aged 56 I have been an enthusiastic visitor to Gran Canaria for thirty years. I own two properties - my first was Villa Los Clavelles Number One C94 where I based myself between 2001 and 2007. In 2007 I purchased a second house Villa Paraiso Golf C1573, due to the popularity of guest rentals at Los Clavelles! Both are now available to rent throughout the year. I still love to stay in both houses which are distinctive in their own locations and character but equally beautiful and comfortable.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
In 2007 I purchased Villa Paraiso Golf C1573 as a second home in Gran Canaria. My first house Villa Los Clavelles C94 had proved so popular with guests that it became hard to find time to stay there! Also I wanted to move my extensive library of books, music, mementoes to Gran Canaria and required a family house with space for a large library. (The library may be made available to guests by special arrangement) Villa Paraiso Golf was the perfect answer with a beautiful private terrace and garden for outdoor living as well as space to add a library. It has proved perfect for family parties - one of the highlights was bringing all my family and friends here to celebrate my Mother's 80th birthday in January 2008! The solar heated private pool is brand new.
