The pool

Lovely modern architect-designed villa. Each of the main rooms, including bedrooms, have direct access to a terrace. All terraces have stunning sea views over to Fuerteventura/Los Lobos. Located in a quiet, well established residential area. The villa has access to the community gated pool, which really is stunning. The location of the villa allows guests to walk to Playa Flamingo (15 mins), the harbour (25 mins), Red Volcano (2 mins). The list of lovely walks really is endless as are the cafes, bars and restaurants that you will come across, for refreshments. The harbour has a great range of restaurants, some offering the freshest of fresh fish! The beaches at Playa Blanca are superb! Playa Flamingo, in particular, is really child-friendly with a sea-wall, meaning it's always calm. Playa Dorada is also lovely. The beaches at Papagayo have the reputation of being among the very best in Spain. And not to forget the rest of the island which is absolutely brilliant!

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. We do not charge extra for school holidays - we have children too! The basic charge is £400 per week for two people sharing. For every extra person, up to a total of six, please add £50 per person per week.
Changeover day
Our usual changeover day is Thursday. But we are happy to be flexible depending on our availability. Please email us.

A nice light airy room. We have a TV with Sky (inc. many UK channels) and also Spanish Digital TV (Latin MTV etc). Video player and loads of videos. We also have a CD player with discs available. A selection of games and books are also kept at the house. |

We have a lovely garden with well established mature plants, shrubs and palm trees. Please enjoy the garden and plants, but (children especially) beware of the prickly ones! All rooms have mosquito screens for beautifully cool nights even in summer. |

Accessibility
The villa is mainly on one level. There are two steps down from the kitchen to the living room. There are a further two steps into the master bedroom. There is also a raised seating area in the living room. All of the terraces have a step down to the garden.
Outside
The villa is surrounded by lovely mature gardens. The pool is a two minute walk away and is gated (key provided for guests). The pool is lovely and very, very well maintained.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Playa Flamingo which is a 15 min walk or 2 min drive. The beach is very child friendly. The 'town beach' is about a 25 min walk or 5 min drive. There is usually a lifeguard on duty here, and it's very handy for the cafes and restaurants. Dorada beach is about a 35 min walk, and maybe 8 mins in car. The beach is lovely and has a couple of lovely bars for refreshment. The beaches at Papagayo are about a 15 min drive away, or if you're like us, hire a bike and cycle there.
Travel
The airport at Arrecife is about 40 minutes away by car. The drive is simple and straight forward and we will provide detailed directions to the villa. The harbour is roughly a 25 min walk from the villa so if you fancy a trip over to Fuerteventura it couldn't be simpler. You can chose between the Fred Olsen catamaran and the ARMAS ferry.

Dorado Beach - 40 minute walk/6 minute drive. Playa Flamingo - 15 minute walk/2 minute drive. Nearest shop (Playa Flamingo) - 15 minute walk/2 minute drive.
Further details
The villa is situated in a central and prestigious residential area. This is not an estate of concrete blocks or identical villas in rows. Instead, there are numerous different property types, and styles of villas, all well spaced out over a mature site. Playa Blanca is the most southerly of the resorts of Lanzarote and is reported to be the sunniest, and warmest, part of the island. Years ago it used to be a sleepy little fishing village but nowadays the area is alive with a bustling seafront promenade with good quality restaurants and shops. The general feel of the resort is relaxed with a family feel...no lager louts or all-night clubbers here! Nevertheless there is plenty to do, both by day and by night. The neighbouring island of Fuerteventura is a short hop by the regular ferry that runs from the old port. There are numerous fine golden beaches in the area, including the famous natural unspoilt beaches and coves of Papagayo. And please don't just limit your holiday to Playa Blanca. The rest of the island has so much to offer. You'll find island guides in the villa.
