There is a fully appointed kitchen, complete with oven, separate hob, microwave, fridge / freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and fresh coffee-making facilities. To the rear of the villa we have ample terracing on 2 levels, with sun awnings providing for shade, and a large covered dining and barbeque area - ideal for alfresco evenings. There are ample sun loungers, tables and chairs, together with a typically Spanish barbeque, and not forgetting a rather large and welcoming pool with outside shower!

Villa 123
Villa 123 enjoys total privacy. The spacious villa has a modern open-plan kitchen with plenty of cupboard space and work surfaces. The dining area is equipped with a ceiling fan, and in the lounge we have provided a satellite system, showing BBC1 and 2 ITV Channel 4 and Channel 5. A CD player, radio and DVD player is also provided. A selection of games - for all ages - are available, and please enjoy reading our private collection of novels if you so wish. Notes on accommodation
Throughout the Summer, portable fans are provided for all bedrooms. The pool and patio areas are particularly suitable for children, as the whole area is secure from outside access.
Please remember however that children must be supervised around the pool area at all times. All towels and bed linen are provided (not pool or beach towels). The towels are changed on a Tuesday, and bed linen changed on Fridays. Blankets are provided if required and are stored in the bedroom wardrobes.

Accessibility
Both villas have steps from the pedestrian walkway into the front villa area (Villa 123 has one and Villa 138 three).
Once down into the front area of the villa, we have large double doors into the entrance hall. The villas have been recently re-furbished to accommodate the young and elderly, and the interiors are all on one level. Patio doors open up from the lounge area and the main bedroom areas onto the upper patio area. The larger patio areas around the pool are accessed by a further step.

Outside
The rear of the villas are mainly tiled, with flower beds edging the gardens, with a fig tree (villa 138) and a pepper tree (villa 123) within the grounds. A Spanish style barbeque is installed at both villas, together with outside seating and dining tables sufficient for 16 guests (no problem inviting people round for an alfresco evening!
There are 8 sun loungers at each villa - most with adjustable headrests. They all have waterproof cushioned covers, ideal for snoozing, or just relaxing with a book and drink.
We also provide at both villas a selection of plastic cups, plastic glasses, plates, bowls and utensils - as of course no glass of any kind is permitted in the pool area.
The tiled pool in each villa is slightly larger than 8 metres x 4 metres, and both have a Roman steps entrance - most suitable for children and the elderly. (No metal ladders!)
Both pools are electrically heated in the winter months (November through to April), and have covers to ensure heat retention.

Coast/Beach
Callao Salvaje boasts a small rocky cove with a pebble / sandy black beach, but with strong undercurrents - so not recommended for family swimming!
The nearby Fanabe beach at Bahia del Duque (10 minutes drive) is ideal, with golden sand, white leather beach loungers and umbrellas! The beachside cafes and restaurants are also recommended for light lunches etc.
They also have an underground car park which keeps the car beautifully cool!

Golf
Adeje golf course is approx. 8 - 10 minutes drive away, or the 3 courses at Golf del Sur is around 25 minutes away.

Travel
Callao Salvaje is 25 minutes (taxi) or 30 minutes (car hire) from Reina Sofia airport (Tenerife's south airport).
Whilst car hire is not considered essential; to enjoy all the island has to offer, car hire is recommended.
There are two competitive car hire companies operating from the concourse that we regularly use; Autoreisen and Record.
Please note if using Autoreisen, their petrol gauge records a full tank on the left side of the dial!

Distances
Nowhere on the island is further than 90 minutes away.
Loro Parque at Puerto de la Cruz is about 90 minutes, and well worth a visit.
The round island tour (whole day) is essential, and by coach, you will all enjoy the incredible beauty of the island and the villages you pass through and stop at.

Further details
Callao Salvaje, whilst only some 10 minutes drive to the nightlife of Las Americas, and the lovely beaches of Fanabe, is considered to be a quieter 'village'. However, there are plenty of restaurants locally including the cuisine provided by English, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Indian - and of course Spanish chefs. There are a number of small supermarkets, souvenir shops, banks, internet cafe's, hairdressers, Doctors, Chemists etc. etc.
This is a bustling little village, and is quite lively with restaurant trade etc. until 10 - 11 pm. - after which the bars remain open into the small hours (around 1 am).
So this area will probably appeal to family groups, rather than the 'single' groups looking for a 24/7 location.

Booking notes
We require a deposit of 25% to reserve the villa whilst contract is issued. The balance will be required no later than 8 weeks prior to your holiday dates. A security deposit of £200 (returnable) is also held against villa damage - we do however expect normal wear and tear, and the normal accidents with glasses / china etc. are to be expected.
Whilst we provide for a cot and highchair in each villa at no extra charge, we can provide extra cots / highchairs at a cost of £10 each per week.
