Villa Bonita was built recently as a family holiday home and furnished with quality materials. High ceilings and large rooms, hardwood doors and wardrobes, beautiful modern tiles, an Italian kitchen, luxurious bathrooms and quality king sized beds provide the perfect environment for a relaxing holiday. The sea is just moments away, with two small sandy coves. A lovely larger sandy beach with very safe bathing, lying in front of the 5* Bahia Real Hotel, is reached in 3 minutes. There are also magnificent coral white sand beaches beginning 5 min. away that stretch for several kilometres. The Dunes Nature Reserve, extending over several thousand acres, begins in the immediate neighbourhood. Some restaurants and shops are nearby and the centre of Corralejo is in walking distance.

Changeover day
Changeover on a Wednesday or Saturday is preferred.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1, with a king sized double bed. En-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2, with two 90cm twins (joining to give super king sized double, as required).
Bedroom 3, with two 90cm wide singles.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are in a 'wing' separated from the lounge.
Bathrooms: The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower, a marble topped sink unit and a toilet.
The family bathroom, located between bedrooms 2 and 3, has a large walk-in shower, marble topped sink unit and toilet.
Kitchen: The maple wood Italian designer kitchen has granite worktops. It is fully equipped and has an electric ceramic hob, extractor fan, a combined oven, grill and microwave unit, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and a washing machine.
Utility Room: A sliding glass door in the kitchen gives access to a glass enclosed breakfast area that is open at the roof. It provides views to the sea and the small garden. It is also useful as a protected play area for children.
Living Rooms: The large lounge is tastefully furnished and has a spacious feeling due to the sliding French windows along the whole of the sea facing side, plus a vaulted ceiling. In front of the lounge, overlooking the pool, is a shaded terrace for outdoor dining.
Other: The large dining room with vaulted ceiling has lovely sea views. It is reached by double glazed doors from the lounge and it seats six. In addition, there are two comfortable leather chairs and a coffee table, for relaxing away from the lounge activities.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bed linen and bathroom towels (not beach towels) are provided and changed once a week. The house is cleaned once a week, as is the pool. A cot and a high chair are available.

 

Notes on accommodation
All windows and external doors are fitted with mosquito nets.
The pool area is totally enclosed and accessed through a locked gate, in order to protect young children.

Accessibility
The interior of the house is all on one level. The exterior has also been designed without steps, other than those to the large roof terrace. Gently sloping walkways give access to the parking area and to the pool terrace.

Outside
The house and its surrounding terraces are elevated about 4 feet (1.2m) above the neighbouring ground level. They in turn are surrounded by 4 ft walls. This provides privacy yet still gives an open aspect and wonderful sea views. Entry is via locked double gates and a driveway. The shaded dining terrace in front of the lounge slopes gently down to the gated pool terrace. Sun lounge chairs are provided on the pool terrace and also on the roof terrace, reached by a short stairway at the side of the house. The latter provides wonderful views out to sea and to the islands of Lobos and Lanzarote. There are also views to Corralejo harbour, where the ferries from Lanzarote arrive, and lovely inland views across the Dunes Nature Reserve to the distant mountains.

Coast/Beach
Fuerteventura is blessed with the best beaches in the Canaries. The sand is extremely fine and pinkish white in colour due to the coral component. Delightful to walk and sunbathe on, it also reflects from the seabed, giving the sea its lovely turquoise colour. The sea itself is crystal clear, so swimming, snorkelling and diving are great. The principal beaches start a few minutes away and stretch for kilometres. Fishing is popular and deep sea fishing excursions can be booked in Corralejo.

Golf
There is a very good public golf course at Caleta del Fuste, just beyond the airport, that is associated with the 5* Elba Palace Golf Hotel. It can be reached in about 35 minutes from the villa by car.

Travel
The villa is located about 30 minutes drive from the airport. Car hire can be arranged there and taxis are also available. Public transport is also available but requires a change of bus in Rosario, the capital. Local travel is best by taxis, which are reasonably cheap.
Car hire can also be arranged locally in Corralejo, if you want to make excursions over a few days.

Distances
The centre of Corralejo is about 20 minutes walk along the beach pathway and a little less by the road.
There are shops and restaurants about 10 minutes walk away.
Whilst a car is desirable it is not essential, especially if you intend to spend most of the time on the beaches. Rather, use the taxis, which are plentiful and good value.

Further details
Corralejo has many restaurants and shops that cater for most tastes. Excursions for deep sea fishing, for boat trips and for the ferries to Lobos and Lanzarote can be arranged in Corralejo. A visit to Lanzarote's volcanic region is certainly worthwhile.
The owner's family have an adjacent luxury villa right on the beachfront. It can be rented separately, or in conjunction with this villa for family reunions etc. Details can be found under Reference C 1491. Contact Dorothy as given below.

Booking notes
A non-refundable booking deposit of £350 per rental week is required within 10 days of the reservation. The balance is due, at the latest, 10 weeks before departure. Note that we cannot accept responsibility for any loss, injury or accident, personal or otherwise, whilst staying at the villa. We strongly recommend that you take out good quality travel and accident insurance.
