In 1980 I bought 13500sqm of land in the village of Tegueste, basically a 45m wide and 350m long to the top of the mountain in which I built this fantastic house in three levels. I lived there for 8 years until I went to England to work as a professional musician in the Halle Orchestra in Manchester, otherwise, I promise I would still be there. I fell in love with the place because it is really quiet and peaceful but not too far away from a bit of life. Over the years I have made additions and improvements to the house now I feel that it is somewhere that can be fully appreciated by others. The property is ideal for people to get together to enjoy group activities e.g. yoga, chamber music, painting, etc, because the house has a large room to accommodate lots of people. Within 5 minutes walk you are in the centre of village of Tegueste that has a charming square with an ancient church, many shops, restaurants, bars, but still retaining the typical Canarian village feel.

Notes on accommodation
The heating of the swimming pool and the hot tub are optional, to paid in the villa if you wanted.
Accessibility
Not really suitable for wheelchair users, but they can use the main level of the house, without having to use stairs, where there is bathrooms, kitchen, dinning room, bedrooms and swimming pool with terraces.
Outside
The outside is exceptional with a 11m x 4m covered terrace with terracotta floor, table tennis and dinning area where you probably spend most of the time. Fantastic heated swimming pool surrounded by a huge tiled terrace that ends in a balcony with great views of the mountains, village and sea. Between the pool and the covered terrace there is a purpose built large barbecue. All that is complemented by a a great outdoor Hot Tub for up to 6 people that is situated by the side of the pool. Gardens are full of local flora including palm trees, dragon trees, olive tree, gigantic cactus, banana trees, avocado, orange and lemon trees.
Coast/Beach
Only 10 mins drive to Bajamar tourist resort, with small beach and natural pools constantly replenish by the sea
Travel
Tenerife North called Los Rodeos Airport is only 10km away. Tenerife South called Reina Sofia is 68km away. The use of a car is not essential but highly recommended.
Distances
16km to Santa Cruz, capital of the Island. 6km to La Laguna, World Heritage town, the old capital of the Canaries, university town with interesting colonial architecture. 5km to Bajamar nice small tourist resort. 25km to Puerto de la Cruz, the most Spanish traditional tourist resort, very beautiful with plenty to do and see. 80km to Las Americas, Los Cristianos and the resorts in the south.

‘We had a wonderful holiday at this villa. It is exceptional value for money - you get a huge space, it is clean and tidy with all mod cons. The pool is just amazing, we loved it. We also made great use of the BBQand table tennis table. The garden and scenery surrounding the villa are beautiful; also the drive south to Mt Teide or north into the Mercedes Mountains is stunning. A week there really wasn't long enough, we hope to return again soon for more relaxing and exploring. We found this villa exceeded all our expectations. The location was wonderful, and very peaceful. It was very nice to be away from all the 'touristy' areas. We could jump in the car and be in the capital city which was fantastic, with a gorgeous beach just a short drive away.
