This apartment has a modern kitchen comprising of a fridge with small freezer compartment, two ring hob, microwave, bench top oven/grill, kettle, pots and pans, real cups (not those little white things). The bathroom has a small bath with shower over, toilet, hand basin, please note due to people taking towels away (yes it does happen) towels are not provided, The living area has a table and chairs bed settee and wall unit with DVD, TV and a selection of DVDs to watch, a selection of books are also provided. Pillows etc are provided for the settee to make it 4 berth, the bedroom has a large fitted wardrobe a dressing table and a lovely comfortable double bed. The balcony has sea, mountain and (at a stretch) harbour views, it is complete with table 4 chairs and parasol, the sun is out virtually all day long on the balcony. There are now 2 adult mountain bikes available for hire at a cost of £20.00 or 30 euros a week each (local hire shops are around 70 euros a week).

This is the apartment we use in when on holiday, it is on the bottom of the complex and so has a larger than normal balcony with a small garden. This apartment has a separate very modern kitchen area with a new 4 ring hob, microwave, small tabletop oven/grill, fridge freezer, (3/4 fridge 1/4 freezer), kettle and all other necesary kitchen bits and bobs. the living area has a table and 4 chairs, double sofa bed, wall unit, also is a TV and DVD player with a choice of over a hundred DVDs (films sitcoms etc) also a good library of books. The bedroom has a double bed with dressing table and large wardrobe built in, also a wall mounted TV with DVD/video player. The bathroom has a small bath with shower over, toilet, hand basin and top loading washing machine. see above towels are not provided.

Notes on accommodation
The Scorpio complex is serviced by two brand new lifts. The caretakers of the complex do a fantastic job keeping it clean at all times and the pool is always spotless. The accommodation is suited primarily for couples but will take up to 4 people, small family maybe, not recomended for two couples. We do not accept groups of young people.

Accessibility
The apartment 503 is ok for wheelchair access via a ramp and lifts. Apartment 104 is not accesible for wheelchairs and not recomended for people with walking dificulties as there is three flights of stairs as access.

Outside
Large balconies on both apartments, the communal pool is near the bottom of the complex accessed by stairs and lifts, it is usually very quiet at the pool and gets the sun all day.

Coast/Beach
You will be within walking distance (1 mile downhill) of 2 beautiful and well equipped beaches (Amadores and Peurto Rico) they both have bars, restaurants, shops, watersports, etc. The Peurto Rico harbour area also has the usual mix of angling, scuba diving, boat hire, parascending etc. After a day on the beach you may want to get the frequent bus service back, or a taxi (there are plenty). Our favourite is the Amadores beach, a man made beach with crystal water and very safe bathing. Enjoy!

Golf
There are a couple of courses close by, the closest is at Tauro, (about 1 mile), this is playable now but work is still ongoing I believe. I am no golfer but this course looks absolutely fantastic.

Skiing
There are some wonderful hills to ski down, but unfortunately it never snows, so best leave the skis at home.

Travel
Las Palmas airport is around 50 km away, hire car is recommended to make the most of the island, taxis to the resort are available at all times but we also offer a private transfer service.

Distances
I could go on about the various places to visit but if you are looking at this you must be ok using the internet, the many websites about Gran Canaria will show you far better than I ever could about the Island.

Bookings by telephone preferred, email is ok for initial enquiries, please be patient we will ALWAYS reply but may take time if we are away, 10% deposit £50 minimum required on booking, balance payable eight weeks prior to holiday or immediatly if departure within eight weeks of booking.
