Our detached villa and pool have been carefully prepared to offer clients a comfortable and restful holiday in quiet surroundings, leaving time to enjoy the all-day sunshine in this private garden. Only about 10 minutes walk to the local beaches and shops and 5 minutes drive to the new Rubicon Marina and Playa Blanca village which has a long waterfront promenade, many shops, restaurants and comprehensive amenities. The airport is only about 30 minutes drive with an economically priced hire car or taxi. Los Coloradas is situated at the southern end of the island enjoying the best climate and being immediately adjacent to the fabulous and secluded Papagayo beaches which have National Park status and are therefore ideal for sun-worshippers alike! With a hire car you can explore the varied and facinating scenery and attractions that Lanzarote uniquely offers. The all-year round climate makes my villa an ideal destination for a quiet holiday for one or two couples or family of four.

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds. *Electric pool heating is charged at an extra £45 per week upon request during November to April in order to provide a pleasant 27/30 degrees water temperature all winter long.
Changeover day
Our usual changeover day is Thursday or Sunday by prior arrangement.Any other days may be considered and subject to an additional £25 per week.

Our English managers prepare the villa for your arrival, supplying all linen and bath towels. (Beach towels are not provided.) There is a mid-week towel change. The swimming pool has regular attendance. We operate a No Smoking policy in the villa. |
Notes on accommodation
There is a safe for client's use and the bedroom window shutters aid security at night and have mosquito screens. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and a cooling fan.

Outside
The 8m x 3m swimming pool is set within the totally private walled garden and has solar-heating, underwater lighting, roman-end steps and a roll-back cover. It is surrounded by astroturf and paving and there are 4 sun beds, dining table & 4 chairs. Mobile bar-b-que.
The garden is attractively planted and there are a number of outside lights. It is surrounded by 6ft high stone walling with a lockable front gate,thus ensuring maximum security and privacy during your holiday.
The villa is adjacent to a landscaped area with a pathway and view to the sea. It is some 50 yards from the road and approached via a pathway with a gentle slope. Wide casement doors provide easy and level access into the villa.
Coast/Beach
Olivina Beach at Las Coloradas has a favoured location adjacent to the fabulous Papagayo sandy beaches that have National Park status and are reputed to be the best and most secluded beaches in the Canary Islands. The nearest beach is about 10 minutes walk. Alternatively you can drive to various other beaches within 10-15 minutes. Those who are keen on walking will love the paved coastal path that will create the longest promenade in Europe, extending along the entire south coast.
Golf
The challenging 18-hole golf course is situated at Costa Tequise, some 40 minutes drive. However there are future plans to build at least one new golf course at Playa Blanca.
Travel
The airport at Arrecife is about 30 minutes easy drive on excellent roads. Whilst a hire car is not essential most clients decide to have one as rental is inexpensive compared to the mainland and gives complete freedom to explore the island. However, taxis are readily available at the airport and there are bus services to the surrounding area.
Distances
Playa Blanca village is about 2 miles distant, (about 5 minutes drive) or a 20-25 minute walk along the paved coastal path passing through the new Rubican marina enroute. The capital of the island, Arrecife, and the old inland town of Tequise are each about 20 miles away, the latter having the famous Sunday market. Puerto del Carmen is a large and lively resort about 15 miles away. It has a long beach frontage and a very wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and a picturesque old harbour.
Further details
There is an excellent "Netto" supermarket at Los Coloradas, about a 10 minute walk or a couple of minutes in the car. Playa Blanca has a wide selection of shops and restaurants together with doctors, pharmasists, etc. There are many inland and coastal villages displaying the island culture and architecture together with fascinating tourist attractions to cater for all tastes. Man and nature have combined to create some inspirational features including the Timanfaya National Park, a vast volcanic area, best seen from the bus tour that penetrates deep into the lava fields. The drive through the Geria vineyard should not be missed, neither should a trip to Mirador del Rio at the northern end of the island - a cliff-edge restaurant some 2,000 feet above sea level. El Golfo on the western coast is a remote fishing village renowned for it's superb seafood restuarants and fabulous sunsets. Sports fanatics should visit the famous La Santa complex that is about 25 miles away. Lanzarote has many hidden gems that need to be discovered and enjoyed.

Once a booking has been verbally agreed, a reservation form will be sent to you and that period will be held for 7 days whilst the booking form is completed and returned together with a deposit of £50 per person per week booked. The balance is due at least 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday.
