I gave considerable thought into preparing my villa so guests could have a restful holiday in quiet private surroundings with gated & fully walled gdn ideal for sun worshippers, leaving time to enjoy the all-day sunshine in this lovely landscaped gdn. Approx 10 mins walk to the local beaches & shops & 5 minutes drive to the Rubicon Marina & Playa Blanca village which has a long waterfront promenade, shops, restaurants & comprehensive amenities. Las Coloradas is situated at the southern end of the island enjoying the best climate & being immediately adjacent to the fabulous & secluded Papagayo beaches which have National Park status & therefore ideal for sun-worshippers alike! With a hire car you can explore the varied & fascinating scenery & attractions that Lanzarote uniquely offers. The all-year round climate makes the villa an ideal destination for a quiet holiday for one or two couples or family of four. The climate, its beaches & the ever-present stamp of artist Cesar Manrique.

Notes on prices
Rental terms are for 2 people-ADD £20 PER DAY FOR UP to 4 persons Non-refundable deposit of £75 pp wk secures the booking. Pool solar heating is ideal for most of the yr but from Nov-April (when there are less sun hrs to warm the solar panels)electric heating is recommended to benefit from a swimming temp' of between 27-30 degrees throughout the winter (subject to weather conditions) at AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE of £45 PER WEEK. WIFI at an EXTRA £15 p/wk for wireless broadband connection if required

Changeover day
CHANGEOVER DAY IS THURSDAY- SPLIT WKS 10 night min - charged on a pro-rata basis. Rates applicable at the time of booking. Property must be vacated 10.30 on departure and not occupied until 2pm arrival. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk etc on arrival.

Bedrooms: Double bedroom with tv/dvd combi; dressing table unit. Air conditioning unit with €1 coin meter. Bed 2 with twin beds and Mexican style pine bedside cabinet. Both bedrooms have a large double wardrobes with hanging rail & shelving & ceiling fans.
Bathrooms: White bathroom suite housing bath with over head shower with shower curtain; w.c. bidet & vanitory wash hand basin & storage. Hairdryer with diffuser & hair straighteners
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops; Electric oven and ceramic hob with extractor over, fridge/freezer, microwave. Well equipped with the necessary china ware, glasses & cooking essentials for those of you who enjoy to cook.
Utility Room: Washing machine, large storage space area, clothes airer, iron and ironing board/ Inflatables for the pool or sea; beach mats, buckets & spads!
Living Rooms: S & W facing with access to terrace. 32' Wide Screen TV with Sky satellite channels; DVD/VHS player; IPOD docking station; Playstation 2 with a selection of PS2 games; book case housing CD/radio cassette unit; CDs; videos, DVDs; Outside & indoor games.
Other: Separate Dining Rm with rustic beamed ceiling, Mexican style glass topped table with seating for six. Additional settee, bookcase with selection of Adult & children's reading books; videos, DVDs & card games etc. Casement doors lead to the terrace/gdn.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Clean linen & towels are provided each week with a villa clean and you have a mid-week towel change as well. Twice weekly pool check/clean. We operate a No Smoking policy in the villa.

Notes on accommodation
There is a safe for client's use and the bedroom window shutters aid security at night and have mosquito screens. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and a cooling fan. Alarm fitted for added security. Beach towels are not provided but you can hire of pool/beach towels! Please ask for rates also available for hire (if required) - Travel cot with mattress & bedding, Highchair, Bed guard, Playpen, Z bed with bedding, please ask for prices (per week).

Outside
The 8 x 3m swimming pool and 1.5m at deepest point is set within the landscaped private walled garden and has solar heating, underwater lighting, roman-end steps and a roll-back cover. It is surrounded by astroturf and paving and there are 4 sun beds with comfortable sun covers and matching large umbrella. Large outside wooden dining table with matching chairs & matching seat covers. Large barbecue. Outside & pool lighting. The garden is attractively planted and there are a number of outside lights. It is surrounded by 6ft high stone walling with a lockable front gate,thus ensuring maximum security and privacy during your holiday. The villa is adjacent to a landscaped area with a pathway and view to the sea. It is some 50 yards from the road & approached via a pathway with a gentle slope. Wide casement doors provide easy & level access into the villa.

Coast/Beach
Olivina Beach at Las Coloradas has a favoured location adjacent to the fabulous Papagayo sandy beaches that have National Park status and are reputed to be the best and most secluded beaches in the Canary Islands. The nearest beach is about 10 minutes walk. Alternatively you can drive to various other beaches within 10-15 minutes. Those who are keen on walking will love the paved coastal path that will create the longest promenade in Europe, extending along the entire south coast.

Golf
Newly opened golf course at Puerto Del Carman (approx 25 mins drive). Also the challenging 18-hole golf course is situated at Costa Tequise, some 40 minutes drive. Stop press! (Oct'10) The golf course near the lighthouse in Playa Blanca has been approved. Works will start this November, with an estimated 18 months for completion. This is excellent news for Rentors - with a new golf course, new marina and possibly a new harbour, Playa Blanca is gearing itself to be the number one tourist destination in the Canaries.

Travel
The airport at Arrecife is about 30 minutes easy drive on excellent roads. Whilst a hire car is not essential most clients decide to have one as rental is inexpensive compared to the mainland and gives complete freedom to explore the island. However, taxis are readily available at the airport and there are bus services to the surrounding area.

Distances
Playa Blanca village is about 2 miles distant, (about 5 minutes drive) or a 45 minute walk along the paved coastal path passing through the new Rubican marina enroute. The capital of the island, Arrecife, and the old inland town of Tequise are each about 20 miles away, the latter having the famous Sunday market. Puerto del Carmen is a large and lively resort about 15 miles away. It has a long beach frontage and a very wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and a picturesque old harbour.

Further details
Ropers Food Store is one of the best places to buy fresh meat, vegetables, & a whole range of produce (fresh & frozen) & is right on your doorstep in El Pubelo along with it's cafes, restaurants & a typical Sports Bar. The "Hiper Dino" supermarket is about a 10 minute walk or a couple of minutes in the car. Playa Blanca has a wide selection of shops and restaurants together with doctors, pharmacists, etc.
There are many inland and coastal villages displaying the island culture and architecture together with fascinating tourist attractions to cater for all tastes. Man and nature have combined to create some inspirational features including the Timanfaya National Park, a vast volcanic area, best seen from the bus tour that penetrates deep into the lava fields. The drive through the Geria vineyard should not be missed, neither should a trip to Mirador del Rio at the northern end of the island - a cliff-edge restaurant some 2,000 feet above sea level. El Golfo on the western coast is a remote fishing village renowned for it's superb seafood restaurants and fabulous sunsets. Sports fanatics should visit the famous La Santa complex that is about 25 miles away. Lanzarote has many hidden gems that need to be discovered and enjoyed.

A non-refundable deposit of £75 per person per week is required to secure the booking. Balance of rental is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival, together with a refundable damage deposit of £190.
