This peaceful retreat would suit couples looking for a quiet break. Nestled into the hills looking down the valley to the sea, with the majestic mountains of Tenerife forming a stunning backdrop. This spacious bungalow sleeps 2 people (1 large double bed ). The bedroom has patio doors leading onto the sun terrace and from there down into your private garden and large swimming pool. In the modern, spacious bathroom there is a large shower cubicle, WC and vanity unit. The kitchen/diner has all facilities to accommodate your stay, includes microwave with grill, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, fridge and 2 ring hob. Through into the lounge you look out onto the sun terrace and private garden and on down through the valley to the sea. There is ample parking plus a carport for those hot days. We supply a gas fire for any chilly winter nights. There is also a satellite TV system (English and German).

Pricings have been set in euros and because of the fluctuating currency the prices in euros are as follows:-
1 May 2008 to 18 Dec 2008 = 375euros. Christmas and New Year 19 Dec 2008 to 9 Jan 2009 = 482euros. 9 Jan 2009 to 18 Dec 2009 396euros.

Outside
From the cottage you step directly into the spacious garden full of colourful tropical plants and trees,sun loungers and a barbeque. This leads down to the private heated pool, that is illuminated for evening swims. Round the pool there is ample space for sunbathing. The pool is 18 feet round so lots of room. NEW we now have a mini gym for those wishing to keep fit on their holiday.There is ample parking and a car port to keep your car shaded from the heat.
Coast/Beach
Visit the local beach of El Medano or La Tajita (about 15 minute drive) with its natural sand, relax at the local bars and watch the many watersports or try them yourself.
Golf
Tenerife has many golf courses for all levels. The nearest course is the Golf del Sur, around 15 minutes drive away.
Special interest holidays
Tenerife is ideal for mountian biking, hiking and walking trips. On the coast the village of El Medano boasts the best location on the island for windsurfing and kiting with its natural white sand.
Travel
Tenerife South Airport serves most holiday companies and although this is just a 15 min drive away the cottage is not on a flight path nor troubled by aircraft noise.
It is recommended that you hire a car when staying at the cottage.
Distances
The village of El Salto is just a few minutes drive from the cottage where there is a local supermarket, bar and restaurant. San Isidro is the next town for banks, supermarkets, shopping or El Medano for beach restaurants and souvenirs.
Further details
There are plenty of places to visit and explore, some by car others on foot or mountian bike. A 'must' is the volcano of Tiede. It is a strange sensation to be at sea level then to travel up over 3000m in just over 1 hour to this fantastic landscape with all its beautiful and varying rock structures and colours. Stop at the village of Villaflor on the way, which is the highest village in Spain, and take in the stunning views. A good hike or bike ride here is to 'Paisaje Lunar' which you suddenly discover inbetween the pine trees. Tenerife has many different plants and trees and at Icod they are proud of their centuries old 'Drago' tree.

We came to a lovely 'home from home'. Although your site photos and details are attractive (thats why we choice here) to see it in real life is far better. We have stayed in 5 star hotels that do not come close to Finka 18.
