A sunny and spacious apartment

The modern building was completed in the year 2000 and there are only 64 apartments in total in the 2 small blocks which form El Marques Palace. 312 is privately owned by a couple who visited Los Gigantes in February 2002 and simply fell in love with the tranquillity of the area. The relaxed lifestyle and friendliness of the people in the village simply drew them in. This is a totally different atmosphere to ultra-busy Las Americas with none of the brash hustle and bustle. Sunbathing on the balcony loungers or by the two heated swimming pools on site, chasing the squash ball around the court, pumping iron in the gymn or playing tennis or bowls; something for everyone during the day. All within El Marques Palace itself but slightly further afield there is golf on glorious courses, hiking in the hills or down the twisting cliff path to Masca Bay (Heidi's Hikes), choice of beaches, boat trips from Los Gigantes harbour to visit the whales and dolphins playing out to sea.

Changeover day
Flexible changeover - most flights arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays. 10am departure (we are flexible if we have no guests immediately following, please enquire).

The spacious, well equipped kitchen is fully fitted; hob, oven, toaster, large fridge/freezer coffee maker, liquidizer, washing machine and microwave (granite work surfaces). Everything you need - the kitchen equipment even includes a fruit juicer! |

Maids very helpful and efficient. The complex is constantly cleaned to a very high standard. Maids empty kitchen bin daily then leave you in peace. |

Bed linen and towels provided. Daily maid service for bins etc. with weekly full clean and midweek towel and linen change and sweep through.

Accessibility
El Marques Palace has 2 lifts within the complex and it is possible to access the apartment without climbing any stairs. However, for the very elderly or infirm we really don't recommend our apartment.
Outside
312 EMP has a good sized balcony with 2 sun loungers, parasol, dining table and chairs. From here you can look down on the heated adult and children's pools.
Coast/Beach
The volcanic (black sand) beach of Los Gigantes are approximately 10 minutes walk away with the Puerto Santiago beach slightly nearer in the opposite direction.
Golf
There are a number of quality golf courses within 35 minutes drive, to suit all standards of play. An LPGA tour event was held at the Abama course, 15 minutes away.
Travel
Tenerife South airport (Reina Sofia) is 45 minutes drive away. Car hire from the airport is convenient and inexpensive. Taxis are plentiful and there are at least 2 companies offering a minibus service to the resort.
Distances
El Marques is set in an elevated position with a 10 minute walk down the sweeping hill into the village of Los Gigantes (for those less able on their pins it costs approximately 2 Euros each way by one of the excellent local taxis). Alternately, there is a dramatic walk along the rugged coast which takes you into the heart of the village. Puerto Santiago is less than 5 minutes away.
Further details
There is an excellent local selection of restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Central Los Gigantes boasts a traditional style plaza with a church. The church holds both Catholic and Anglican church services which welcome visitors (see the notice board for details) and is worth a visit if only to admire the paintings and sculpture. The owner's sport obsessed son found Highland Paddy's Bar where live English soccer games are shown plus other notable sporting events. So you can live it up or just chill out. Considering the tiny size of the village there really is something for everyone. Further afield, the Aquapark and Loro Park attractions are about 40 minutes drive away. There are excursions avaialble to majestic Mount Teide in the centre of the island or trips to the mysterious island of La Gomera (listen out for the famous whistling language!).
