The apartment is finished to a high standard and has a balcony which overlooks the beach just 10 minutes walk away. A roof terrace and a swimming pool with adjacent showers and toilets are also available for guests. The complex is situated on a hill in a Natural Park near the town of Costa Calma which is only 15 minutes walk away and where a wide selection of restaurants and shops can be found. However a car is essential to access the full range of facilities nearby. Jandia Playa and Morro Jable, 15 minutes drive south, offer a wide variety of eating places and retail outlets whilst the Oasis Park, the island's major tourist attraction, is only 15 minutes drive north at La Lajita.

For prices in euros, please use the currency conversion facility. A 10% discount is offered for stays of longer than a week. Special monthly rates can be negotiated.
Changeover day
This is flexible and can be discussed at the time of booking. The apartment is available from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival and guests should vacate the apartment by 10.00 am on the day of departure but these times can be negotiated should the need arise.

Linen, towels & blankets are provided but please bring your own beach towels. For stays longer than a week, a mid-stay linen/towel change will be provided. Any additional services can be arranged. Managers are available locally to deal with any problems. |
Notes on accommodation
This is a no-smoking apartment.
Accessibility
The complex is on different levels and is not adapted for wheelchair users. There are steps down to the apartment, to the gate to the beach and also down to the pool.
Outside
There is a communal pool which is approx 25m long and 1.5m deep with adjacent showers and toilets. There is no baby pool.
Coast/Beach
The 30km long golden sandy beach of Sotavento starts at Costa Calma and ends at Morro Jable and is ideal for beach walking. There's access from the complex to the beach which is just 10 mins walk down the hill where beach facilities are available. Wind and kite surfing equipment can be hired or lessons arranged here or on Costa Calma beach. If you prefer bigger waves, there is a board surfing beach at La Pared on the west coast. There are steps down to the beach but it's well worth the effort.
Golf
There are 2 golf courses at Caleta de Fuste (45 mins drive north) and one on the Jandia peninsula (15 mins drive south). There is also a 9-hole pitch & putt course in La Pared, 3 miles west of Costa Calma across the peninsula. A new golf complex has recently opened at Las Playitas which is 35 minutes drive north.
Travel
The airport at Puerto del Rosario is 1 hour's drive away from the apartment and so car hire is necessary, although transfers can be arranged by the apartment manager if required. A "meet and greet" facility is also available on request.
Distances
Costa Calma is the nearest town at approx 2km away whilst Jandia Playa and Morro Jable are further south but are still only 15 mins drive away. They all have a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, weekly markets & shops. Caleta de Fuste is 45 minutes drive north from the apartment where you will find a shallow protected bay, a busy little port, the Atlantico Center (a shopping complex with a multi-screen cinema & bowling alley) and golf.
Further details
In July each year, World Cup windsurfing and kite surfing events are held over a 2 week period on the Sotavento Beach. These take place at the Rene Egli Pro Center below the apartment.
The Oasis Park at La Lajita is less than 15 mins drive away and is the island's biggest tourist attraction. There is a zoo, a large botanical garden and cactus park, camel rides and numerous animal shows. The park also has two restaurants.
If you fancy a change from sun bathing, other activities are available in the area. These include snorkelling, deep sea fishing, horse riding and go-karting to name but a few. Details about these pursuits can be found in the apartment's information booklet.
Booking notes
Please contact Jean or Dave by email or phone to arrange booking. The prices given are per week. A non-refundable deposit of £100/150 euros is required at the time of booking, the balance to be paid 6 weeks before occupancy. A refundable security deposit of £50/75 euros is also required on payment of the balance. Should you wish to cancel your booking after paying the full amount there will be a cancellation charge as follows: 2-6 weeks - 25% of cost refunded; less than 2 weeks - no refund.
