Rented since 2007 through Owners Direct (please verify at footnote on this page), this villa is situated in Campo Internacional which is between the beach (at the lighthouse) and the town of Playa del Inglés. It is 2 mins walk from the golf course at Maspalomas and 5 mins walk to the shopping center Faro II. At Faro II there are 2 supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants. It is easy to get taxis from the road outside the golf club. Maspalomas has a stunning beach (and the world famous sand dunes) - you can walk there in about 20 mins or hop in a taxi. Nearby is the area of Meloneras which has many classy bars, restaurants and shops. Go the other way and you can enjoy the nightlife of Playa del Inglés. If you have a hire car then you can reach the GC-1 motorway in about 4 mins making it easy to get to the city of Las Palmas, shopping in Vecindario or days out in Puerto Rico, Puerto Mogan or the stunning mountains in the centre of the island.

Important: If the price shown is £898 then occupancy of 1 to 4 people is assumed - the price for occupancy 5 to 8 people is £998 respectively. For all other prices shown, the price applies regardless of occupancy - up to 8 people. Under certain circumstances we can accept up to 9 people at additional cost. The Christmas - New Year period is available only as a complete fortnight. We accept payment in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) or Euros (EUR).

Bedlinen is fitted sheets and lightweight duvets (which suits the warm climate here). Blankets are also provided. Bedlinen and towels are changed weekly.

Notes on accommodation
We have made every effort to make this accommodation safe and secure. Smoke detectors are fitted, fire extinguishers are provided and exit routes are clearly signed. There is a first aid kit in the property. There are no gas appliances in the property. The outdoor areas have tiles which are designed to reduce the chance of slipping. Please note there are 2 flights of stairs which an internal door and external child gate provide protection for young children. The swimming pool is approximately 1.4m (4.5 feet) deep and can be fenced off for the protection of young children. A life ring is provided. We happily accept parties including children, however it is the responsibility of the adults in the party to ensure the welfare of those children at all times.

Accessibility
The bungalow is over 2 levels, however 1 of the bedrooms (with full bath) is on the ground floor and so is suitable for the elderly or infirm. The garden is mainly tiled so is flat - there is one step up. There are 2 steps down to the street. The roof terrace is accessed via a staircase.

Coast/Beach
The famous beach at Maspalomas is a pleasant 20 minute walk away. The walk to the beach is flat and so is suitable for wheelchairs, buggies etc. At this beach it is easy to get away from the crouds if you wish, but there is also easy access to cafés, restaurants and bars at the beginning of the beach. Additionally there are some kiosks along the beach selling snacks and drinks. It is usually safe to swim in the sea. Sun loungers and "unbrellas" are available at very reasonable daily rental.

Golf
The "Club de Golf de Maspalomas" is 2 mins walk away.
At present, there are 8 golf courses in total throughout Gran Canaria, 3 of which are in the South. The golf courses have been designed by the most prestigious international golf course designers and they all boast exceptional features. The golf courses on Gran Canaria have another important competitive advantage, namely their price, which is well below the average in other areas. The 18-hole courses on the island charge a green fee of around 50 Euros during the off-season (from May to September) and around 70 Euros during the rest of the year, which make them even more appealing when you take into account the quality of the facilities and installations they offer.

Special interest holidays
I addition to the golf, Gran Canaria is famous for its cycling and wind surfing. Shopaholics will also be delighted with the excellent prices of many goods (e.g. electronics) here due to our low VAT rate of 2% to 6%.

Travel
The nearest airport is "Gran Canaria" - code LPA. You may also see the airport referred to by its old name of "Las Palmas". The airport is about a 25 minute drive from the bungalow. It is not necessary to pre-book taxis as they are normally easily available at the airport and are metered and inexpensive. There are lots of car hire options at the airport - see our website for more information.

Distances
Mini market - 1 minutes walk. Local commercial centre (supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants) - 5 minutes walk.
18 hole golf course - 2 minutes walk. Beach - 20 minutes walk (3 minutes in taxi). Meloneras (beachfront bars and restaurants) - 20 minutes walk (3 minutes in taxi). Playa del Inglés (nightlife) - 5 minutes in taxi.

Booking notes
A deposit of half the total cost secures any available period. Should you decide to cancel, the deposit is non refundable. Payment by direct bank transfer, personal cheque or by credit/debit card (PayPal 3% card fee non-refundable). The balance is payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. On arrival a fully refundable cash deposit of £200/€250 is payable to cover any damages - refunded in cash on departure.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The villa is located in Campo Internacional - the most sought after area of Maspalomas. It is a mixed residential/tourist area and so is the ideal place for your holiday "home from home". The location is perfect being within walking distance of the local shops, restaurants, beach, tennis club and the golf course. There is also ample parking and it is very easy to get taxis nearby. The area is very quiet at night time.

Unique benefits of the property
We chose this villa because of its South facing garden - the sun loungers and pool catch the sun all day, and because of its spacious internal accommodation. We had the opportunity to do major conversion work to the villa when we bought it. This means that, unlike the accommodation offered by many villas here, we have been able to make all the bedrooms similar sizes and they all have their own private en-suite bathroom with sink, toilet and either shower or bath with shower over. Additionally the bedrooms can all be configured double or twin (to your requirements).
