Within a 5 minute walk there are the local shops at Faro Park, restaurants, cafe and bars. Enjoy the views of Montana Roja and Fuerteventura while you relax and enjoy a well earned holiday. The two bedrooms have shuttered windows enabling the rooms to remain cool and provide a darkened sleeping area if required. A private heated swimming pool is located to the rear of the house and is set in a walled and planted garden.Private parking spot to the front of the villa. Beach towels are provided and there are two bicycles -1 lady and 1 gents for guest use. Complimentary 'welcome pack' on arrival. Local housekeeper and a courtesy call during your stay. Notes on prices
Prices quoted are for the Villa per week for 2 persons sharing and exclude Xmas/New Year from 19 Dec 11 to 2 Jan 12. Please add £50 per additional person per week.Children under 5 are free of charge therefore, this additional per person charge is not applicable. A deposit of 50% secures the booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to occupation date. We will hold the Villa for 48 hours while you check the availability of flights. This service is free so why not contact us re availability.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 - has a double king size bed, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside lockers and lamps, en-suite bathroom and patio doors to the pool area. A hairdryer is provided. Bedroom 2 - has twin beds, fitted wardrobes, locker and overhead lighting. |
| Bathrooms: | The en-suite bathroom has a vanity unit, bath, overhead shower and toilet. The second bathroom has a vanity unit, walk in shower and toilet. Both bathrooms are tiled from floor to ceiling with marble flooring. |
| Kitchen: | Separate kitchen with cooker, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher. Cooking pots, dishes, utensils, cutlery and crockery are provided and plastic beakers and bowls. There is a breakfast bar with 4 stools. |
| Utility Room: | The utility room is equipped with a washing machine, clothes horse, pegs, iron and ironing board. There is also some inflatable toys for use in the pool. 1 lady and 1 gents bicycles and safety helmets. Brush, mop and bucket. |
| Living Rooms: | Two leather settees, coffee table, TV (Sky satellite), DVD and stereo system. A selection of CDs, DVDs, books and games are provided. The lounge is accessed from the archway in the hall and to the terrace through the large wooden French doors. |
| Other: | The alfresco dining area has a BBQ and seating is fixed with comfortable cushions and a large wooden table. There are also 4 chairs and a table that can be moved nearer the pool. Dine here with views of the sea, Fuerteventura and Montana Roja. |

There is a weekly maid service and linen is changed then. Beach towels are provided too free of charge. Guests must also dispose of their own rubbish in the bins provided outside the estate. The Villa is fitted with an alarm system and a safe is provided. |

Notes on accommodation
Villa Dolores is an ideal spot to rest and relax as it enjoys a tranquility not found in tourist areas, yet it is only 3km from the centre of Playa Blanca. It is detached and spacious and airy inside and out. There are elevated ceilings in the master bedroom and also in the lounge.
The private electrically heated swimming pool is situated in a walled planted garden with private parking beside the Villa. Two bicycles have been provided for guest use - 1 lady and 1 gents. Please use the helmets provided as it is unlawful to ride a bicycle without one in Lanzarote.
Accessibility
This villa is on one level with one step to the front door and a step to the Al Fresco dining area.
Outside
There is a large planted walled garden which is covered with volcanic pecon stone. The house is surrounded by a terracotta tiled terrace. The private heated pool is 8m x 4m and is 1.8m deep and is accessed via Roman steps. A life buoy is provided. It has a solar pool cover which is manual and easy to operate. The pool is professionally cleaned and the water is balanced twice weekly. There are four sunbeds provided which are movable to follow the sun or retreat to the shade if desired. Through the French door of the lounge there is a pergola should you wish to shade from the sun. A permanent stone BBQ is located in the Al Fresco area with permanent cushioned seating for 8 people and a wooden dining table for those lazy breakfasts.
Coast/Beach
Villa Dolores is a 5 minute walk from the sea front.From here a pedestrian/cycle promenade takes you along the coast from the lighthouse to the Marina on the east side of Playa Blanca.There are a number of beaches on this walk and plenty of places to sit among the rocks and admire the views.The nearest beach is Montana Roja a 10 minute walk and Playa Flamingo a 20 minute walk from the Villa, the beach in the town centre a 30 minute walk and the beach at Playa Dorada approx. 35 minute walk.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at Costa Teguise which is approx. a 30 minute drive from the villa.
Travel
Arrecife airport is 25 minutes drive from Villa Dolores.This is a good road and well signposted to Playa Blanca.Full directions to the Villa will be provided along with an information pack.Car hire is recommended and is relatively cheap in Lanzarote and so too is petrol.A private parking space is provided.If you do not wish to drive there is a very good taxi service at the airport and the town centre.A taxi from the town to the Villa costs 4 eur and a public bus service every 30 minutes to town.
Distances
The local shops at Faro Park are 5 mins walk and the town centre of Playa Blanca is 3 km away and only a couple of minutes drive or if you wish to take the scenic walking route it will take 30 minutes approx.The town has a shopping precinct with numerous shops, restaurants, bars and a safe beach. The harbour is 2 km away with several services daily to Fuerteventura.The famous Papagayo beaches are 10 minutes drive and accessible via a dirt track. There is a nominal fee to enter the beaches.
Further details
The nearest supermarket to the villa is 5 minutes walk away. In the town centre there are three well stocked supermarkets which will provide you with all your self-catering needs. There is also a Hypermarket in Tias which is cheaper than the local supermarkets. Playa Blanca has several restaurants which provide local, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Argentinian and Mexican cuisines.
There is a diving school just 15 minutes walk away. Playa Dorada hosts the usual beach activities including para-gliding, Banana boat rides, pedal boats and jet skis.

Hi, we are Dolores & Jimmie Rogan and we have lived all our married life in a small village in North County Dublin, Ireland. Over the years we talked about buying a home in the sun with the intention of someday retiring there or, at least spending the very bleakest months (January to March) of the year there. We first visited Lanzarote in 2000 when we holidayed there with our daughter and my parents.Over the following years we holidayed there many times and fell in love with the Island.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
There were many reasons why we decided to purchase in Lanzarote–flight time is just under 4 hours, the time zone is the same, the Island is so beautiful and unspoilt and of course the guaranteed sunshine all year round.What more could a body ask for! We decided on Playa Blanca well, simply because none of the other resorts could compete.Playa Blanca has it all - low rise, well planned resort with the most breath-taking views and beaches and just 25 minutes drive from the airport.A few minutes walk from the coastline which hosts 2 beaches–Playa Montana and Flamingo and the local shops are just around the corner.The town of Playa Blanca is a 5 minute drive away.When we viewed the property with its location just a few minutes from the coast we just knew this was what we had been looking for.
