Outside
Patio has 2 sun loungers, table and 4 chairs. The complex has 4 swimming pools, tennis court, squash court. No restaurant on complex. Pool bar has just reopened in March. Lovely restaurant called the Bistro down the hill where the food is lovely and very reasonable, also a Spar supermarket/Chemist.
Coast/Beach
Playa Del Cura beach just down the road. Local bus to Amadores man-made beach (1.20 euros), which has lovely white sand. Amadores takes about 5 mins to get to. Puerto Rico has a nice beach and you can take the bus to Anfi Beach where it has lots of nice shops and restaurants and a beautiful beach and nicely laid out gardens.
Golf
An 18 hole par 3 golf course with Driving Range is just 5 mins away by car in Anfi Tauro. It's a beautiful course and not to expensive.
Skiing
Puerto Rico less than 10 mins away by Taxi or local bus. You can find scuba diving, paragliding, jet skis and lots of other water activities here.
Special interest holidays
Lovely water park in Taurito just 15 minutes by car or local bus.

Travel
Las Palmas is about 40 mins drive by motorway. A really lovely city, well worth a visit. Puerto de Mogan, a fishing village, is about 20 mins drive. Be careful if driving. Good roads but very narrow and great scenery. Be sure to bring your camera.
Distances
Puerto Rico is about 10 mins drive. Mogan is about 20 mins drive and Las Palmas is an hour's drive where you can shop till you drop.

About the owner
I live in Ireland with my wife,we have been married since 1981 and have 1 son and 1 beautiful grandson.
We have been to Gran Canaria many times over the years since our honeymoon, we just fell in love with the island and the people are so friendly.
Reason for buying in Playa Del Cura: The view is breathtaking.We went in search to buy an apartment in 2003 but just couldn't find anything suitable, and then one day a friend told us of the Monsenor apartments and that was it,from the apartment you could see for miles with nothing blocking your view, just to sit on the balcony and watch the boats go by is a real pleasure.
There's also a nice golf course nearby and a driving range.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The main reason for buying the apartment in Playa del Cura was the amazing view & fresh air, no matter where we looked at other apartments something was always blocking the view of the sea. It's just a lovely area.
