Set in a secluded area of Tauro, but within an 8 minute walk or 3 minute drive, to the first tee of the new Tauro PGA Championship Golf Course, Spar shop and the Anfi Tauro grill restaurant. Villa Unique was designed by an English architect and built in 1995 to an extremely high specification and set in beautiful grounds of some 600 square metres. The villa has an abundance of marble and has tiled floors throughout. It is decorated to a very high standard and furnished with quality fittings throughout. Outside, the main patio area overlooks the heated swimming pool which measures approximately 24x14ft. The main patio is reached through the patio doors from the lounge area and it is here where you can comfortably sit, BBQ and quietly watch the world go by with a cool glass of wine and take a refreshing dip in the pool when needed. The villa has Satellite TV with DVD player and a large collection of DVD films are there for your pleasure. Air-conditioned and heating if required

Changeover day
Monday or Saturday is a changeover day (please see availability calendar) and we would like vacation of the property by 11am, when cleaning can be performed. New arrivals should arrive at the property no earlier than 5pm.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a queen size double bed with en-suite with twin hand basins, toilet, bidet and shower. Bedroom 2 is a double and bedroom 3 has twin beds. All rooms have plenty of wardrobes and drawer space. |
| Bathrooms: | En-suite to master bedroom, equipped with twin hand basins, toilet, bidet and shower. Main bathroom is equipped with toilet, hand basin, bath and shower. Both are fully tiled with marble surfaces. |
| Kitchen: | To prepare your food you will find a modern array of units and granite work surfaces. Large sink unit, cooker/oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender. An abundance of glassware, cooking utensils, crockery and dishes are available. |
| Utility Room: | Here you will find the front loading washing machine, iron, ironing board and clothes dryer. A freezer is also in this area. |
| Living Rooms: | The large lounge overlooks the main patio area and pool. It incorporates a beautiful corner sofa unit. There is SatelliteTV and DVD system with an array of films. Air-conditoning and the large ceiling fan will ensure that a cool breeze is always felt. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Upon your arrival, you will be met and shown around to familiarize yourselves with your new surroundings. There will be a 'Welcome Pack' from us with our compliments. The villa will be cleaned and ready for you. The bed linen is changed on a weekly basis. |
Notes on accommodation
The property presents some risks to small children because of the swimming pool and all children should be properly supervised. We do not allow pets and smoking inside the villa is prohibited.
Accessibility
This property is very suitable for those who do not wish to negotiate stairs. It is very accessible for wheelchair users. There is only one step to negotiate between the entrance hall and lounge area.
Outside
The large gardens contain an abundance of plants and flowers with lawn areas for sun-bathing. The large swimming pool measures 24ft x 14ft with an average depth of 1.2metres. The pool is solar powered and kept to an average temperature of 30 degrees in the summer and 25 degrees in winter periods (Nove - Feb). There is also a poolside shower. There is plenty of patio furniture and sun loungers. A large gas BBQ is made available, perfect for outside dining.
Coast/Beach
The local beach is Amadores, which is one of the best on the island. It is a large expanse of white coral sand in a very safe man made bay. There are 2 other beaches within 5 mins of the property at Tauro and Playa de Cura.
Golf
Anfi Tauro will soon (March 2007) be the premier golf destination in the Canary Islands with the completion of the 18 hole championship class golf course by Van Hagge. 9 holes of this golf course are now complete and open for play. There is also an existing par 3, 9 hole golf course which is already complete. The golf course is set within steep ravines and mountains and is anything but pedestrian. Most greens have stunning sea views.
Special interest holidays
Scuba Diving in Gran Canaria is amongst the best in Europe. A vast variety of sea life can be encountered from the Tangs, Parrot Fish, Wrasse, Eels and many Angel Shark. There are several well established dive sites including the local (2 mins away) Amadores beach. Water temperatures range between 18 - 25 Degrees C. A 3/5 mm suit is required in the summer through to late November and a 5/7mm exposure suit is needed from December until late April. Let us know if you are a diver and we will put you in touch with our recommended Padi specialist or recommend dive sites for the independent diver.
Travel
The local airport is Las Palmas airport (LPA). It is 30 minutes drive along the GC1 - a two lane motorway all the way to Tauro and the villa. Car hire is easy and can be arranged for collection from the airport.
Distances
2 minutes drive to the championship golf course 1st tee, Spar shop and the Anfi Tauro grill restaurant. The nearest town is Puerto Rico which is 3 to 5 minutes drive away. The most interesting town for most of our guests is Mogan which is 15 minutes drive away. It's appeal is its quaint harbour area, beach and walkways. Amadores and its wonderful beach and restaurant is 2 minutes drive away.
