The Northstar at StoneyCreek complex is located just a 10 min walk to the ski lifts for #1 rated Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains (or a free shuttle bus ride from across the road). It is just steps from the best restaurants, supermarket, liquor store, post office, video rentals, etc. Drive to within feet of the unit for easy loading/unloading and then park in the free underground secured car park. With its large heated swimming pool and hot-tub this Whistler village accommodation has it all. 3 golf courses close by. BBQ and outdoor patio. Fantastic views.

This property will be rented to responsible adults and families only. Changeover day is flexible. Minimum stay requirements vary with seasons. Discounted weekly rates available. Check-in time after 4pm, check-out time before 10am or by prior arrangement.

Bedrooms: Equipped with a very comfortable, new King-size bed (with the option of being Twin beds by request). A spacious room with TV/VCR, good reading lamps, plenty of drawer and closet space and big windows. Quality linens/pillows/duvets and blankets provided.
Bathrooms: The bathroom is equipped with jacuzzi bathtub with massage shower, hand basin and toilet plus lots of mirrors. Hairdryer and generous supply of bath and pool towels included.
Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen includes stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, garburator, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, mixer, generous supply of cutlery, plates and glassware, pots, pans and cooking utensils.
Utility Room: Providing the convenience of in-suite Ski and snowboard storage plus storage for 4 bikes or your golf clubs! Full size washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Plenty of hanging space for jackets, etc.
Living Rooms: A very spacious and comfortable living/dining area includes 2 sofas (1 being a sofa bed), dining table with seating for 4, coffee tables, 37" HDTV/DVD/VCR and stereo CD player, assortment of books and games and gas fireplace for warmth and ambiance.
Other: A large patio contains patio furniture and a gas Bar-B-Que.

Generous supply of towels (bath and pool) and quality linens will be supplied. Unit will be sparkling clean and in good repair for your arrival and will again be cleaned on departure. Additional cleaning services can be provided at an extra charge.

Notes on accommodation
Newly renovated and always clean and well maintained! This property is strictly no smoking. We welcome children. Sorry, due to allergies we do not accept pets. NB> We do not rent to persons under 21 years of age. When the rentor is between 21 & 25 years of age, a $500.00 refundable damage deposit will be required.

Accessibility
Easily accessible for those with mobility problems, however, the bathroom is not handicap equipped.

Outside
Large patio area with gas barbecue and outdoor furniture. Always be on the watch for black bears in the area as they have frequently been seen passing by the patio area. Northstar complex has a large heated swimming pool and hot tub with great mountain views.

Coast/Beach
Lost Lake Beach - 15 min walk. Rainbow Park Beach - 25 min walk. Both areas have sandy beaches/lawns, a jetty, swimming platform and clear waters. But remember, the lakes are glacier fed and best enjoyed on a hot, hot day.

Golf
Whistler and the surrounding area is home to 3 Championship Golf Courses - Chateau Whistler Golf Course, Whistler Golf Course and Nicholas North Golf Course. With a fascinating blend of sprawling fairways, forested borders of ancient cedar & fir, lakes, creeks, waterfalls & wildlife, these 3 courses are favourites amongst the locals and a "must play" on your Whistler golf vacation. All courses offer full service Pro-shop facilities, learning centre, restaurant and much more. And if your game is a little off ... just enjoy the envigorating fresh air and spectacular mountain scenery. There is also a driving range approx 5 mins walk from this property so you can practise your swing before hitting the course. Other excellent courses are nearby at Pemberton - Big Sky Golf & Country Club - and between Vancouver and Whistler at Furry Creek Golf & Cournty Club.

Travel
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) - serviced by direct/non-stop flights from all major EU cities - is 2.5 hours drive from Whistler. Transportation is available by bus from the airport, or also by limousine. Rental cars are available at the airport, but not necessary (particularly in Winter) as the Northstar property is well located within walking distance to everything. A vehicle may be handy in summer for sightseeing trips throughout this spectacular area.

Credit card details are required, please contact owner to secure a reservation. 25% of the total booking will be charged as a non-refundable deposit. This non-refundable deposit will be increased to 50% forty-five days prior to your arrival. The balance is due 14 days in advance, and check-in information will be sent 7 days prior to the arrival date. Cancellation within the 14 day period will result in full payment forfeiture.

About the owner
Allow us introduce ourselves: One evening in March 1970, Mike, a Canadian, met Anne, an Australian in Barcelona, Spain. After marrying in England we lived in Europe & North America working in international sports providing hospitality and catering. Travelling extensively, we needed a base for our 2 children and chose Vancouver BC. Canada where we developed a passion for skiing & the outdoor life. We discovered 'the ultimate' summer & winter destination at Whistler and purchased a vacation home there. This has been great for keeping our family active & together. Six years ago, we retired to Kelowna, BC on Lake Okanagan. We still love meeting great folks from around the world and do just that at our very busy B&B. Our children & spouses live close-by and we now have 2 lovely granddaughters.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
When we had an opportunity to invest in another property in Whistler, it was without hesitation that looked to the same quiet area with easy access to all that happens in the Village, so retaining Valhalla as our main vacation home, we purchased the smaller adjacent Northstar. Although downhill skiing is a passion in our family, our son-in-law introduced us to Nordic (X-country) skiing so we appreciate this location being walking distance to the Lost Lake Trails. Of course Whistler also boasts the Olympic Nordic trails at Callaghan Valley a short drive to the south. In February, 2010 the Winter Olympic Games will be hosted by Vancouver & Whistler and we know that the athletes, visitors and those watching throughout the world on TV will be awed by Whistler as we continue to be.

Unique benefits of the property
Although this was an investment property to begin, as we get older we love this property more & more with its one-level ground floor layout, and because as a growing family, now that we have grandchildren, it gives us access to additional adjacent completely self contained accommodation. Northstar is a cosy and very comfortable townhouse with a cheery atmosphere added by the stunning red furniture and accent walls. With a King/Twin bed and comfortable sofa bed and bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, the accommodation suits all. The year round heated swimming pool and large hot tub are an enjoyable addition. This townhouse is totally equipped for your stay, so just bring your sports equipment and clothes and relax and enjoy.
