This lovely penthouse property is situtated on Blackcomb Mountain just across the street from a ski in/ski out trail. The living room and bedrooms have recently undergone extensive renovation and provide comfortable and sylish accommodation. The property is conveniently situated for the ski slopes and is close to the restaurants and bars of the Upper Village and only a short stroll from the heart of Whistler where you will find supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, excellent shopping and wonderful restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and pockets. As for the après ski, it's legendary!

Bedrooms: The property has 2 bedrooms plus a loft and can sleep 6 people in privacy and 2 extra on a sofa bed. Master bedroom with Queen size bed and separate dressing area. Bedroom 2 with 'split king'(ie. super-king or 2 singles). The loft has 2 single beds.
Bathrooms: Spacious en-suite bathroom to master bedroom with Jetted Jacuzzi tub.
Shower room accessed directly from bedroom 2 and also from hallway.
Kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped with Stove and oven, microwave, a large fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery.
Utility Room: The large washing machine and dryer are located in the shower room so it's easy to wash and/or dry those wet ski clothes ready for the next day. This certainly helps cut down on the packing!
Living Rooms: The living room is light and airy and has wonderful views of the mountains that surround Whistler. Dining area that seats eight and a living area with a large comfy sofa (also a double bed), armchair, coffee table & gas fire. Cable TV, DVD & CD.
Other: The loft is accessed by stairs from the living room. There is no door to the loft & it has 'half walls' but it is relatively private & affords an excellent ‘chill out’ area - ideal for families with teenagers or groups of friends wanting their own space.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The property comes with linen and towels. Basic housekeeping with towel change provided mid-week. Additional housekeeping is available of request but must be pre-arranged. Charges apply for additional cleans.

 

Notes on accommodation
Whistler is as enjoyable in the summer as it is in the winter! It is a lovely & homely property and is perfect for families or groups of friends. It is part of a Condominium Lodge and as such has its own Guest Services Desk (in season). There is free wireless internet access directly from the property. Secure underground parking is available at $12 CDN per day (subject to change)& there is a designated ski locker for your use at no extra cost.
This is a comfortable 'all year round' property and is suitable for both short and long term lets. Why not try it in the summer when the walking, golf and sporting activities are all excellent?

Accessibility
Located just above Whistler Village. A short 10 minute walk to the village or take the free shuttle bus which leaves from the condo every 8 minutes year round.

Outside
There is a small, covered balcony area.
Communal facilties include a heated outdoor swimming pool, an outside hot tub (covered by a glass dome), a games room and a dry sauna. Please note that from time to time communal facilities may be closed for maintenance. This is outside our control.

Coast/Beach
Whistler/Blackcomb is a rural destination, with the closest coastline being found in Squamish which is about an hour’s drive away. However in the summer you can swim in many of the lakeside parks that are found in the Whistler area. Most have a beach, picnic areas and barbeques. You can also rent canoes, boats, dinghies and windsurfers. Take your pick from Lakeside, Rainbow, Alpha Lake, Meadow or Wayside Parks.

Golf
There are three golf courses located in Whistler. Nicklaus North Golf Course on the shores of Green Lake is a 6,908 yard par 71 course. Whistler Golf Club is a 6,676 yards course designed by Arnold Palmer and Chateau Whistler Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior is a 6,635 yard par 72 course. All of these courses are set amidst the most wonderful scenery.

A twenty five minute drive north of Whistler you will find the Big Sky Golf & Country Club and 45 minutes to the south is the Furry Creek Golf Club, part of which overlooks the spectacular Howe Sound.

Skiing
The Whistler Ski area is world renowned and has been voted #1 ski resort on several occasions.

Travel
Vancouver Airport with direct flights from London, Manchester and Glasgow is about a 2 ½-3 hour drive away. A regular bus service directly from the airport to Whistler will drop you right outside the door. See www.perimeterbus.com for timetable, rates and reservations.

You really don’t need a car in Whistler as public transport is excellent. One of the free Whistler shuttle buses stops right outside the property and will take you to and from Whistler if you don’t feel like walking.

Distances
Everything you could possible want can be found in Whistler but if you do want to explore further afield a trip to Vancouver should be top of your list. Vancouver is a fabulous city and it’s only about 2 ½ hours by bus or car. Well worth a trip, or tack on a few extra days at the beginning or end of your stay.
