Accessibility
Ground floor is OK for wheelchair access (bedroom 3)downstairs. Ground floor steps into villa only around two inches high.
Outside
Very large garden with large deep private pool (no shallow end for children), pool cleaned & chemicals checked professionally every two days, all outdoor furniture including two sunloungers for sunbathing, tables and chairs, excellent brick built barbecue with bar area/sink, large area for sunbathing or evening use as a dance floor!
Coast/Beach
Local beach is 2 minutes walk with lots of friendly bars and restaurants. Small fishing villages and turtle sanctuary worth a visit 20 minutes drive north from the villa.
Golf
Small golf course and tennis courts at Sofitel, about 10 minutes drive. Larger new golf courses one hour drive north of Salvador.
Travel
Salvador airport (SSA) is only around 20 minutes drive to the villa. Collection can be arranged. Cheap direct flights now from Manchester and Gatwick with Mytravel.com departing UK every Friday.
Distances
5/10 minutes walk to Vilas main shopping area, Salvador city around 30 minutes drive south from the villa. Two large modern shopping complexes 20 minutes drive, large supermarkets only 5 minutes drive.
Further details
Taxis can be arranged, car hire recommended. Currency is in Reais and available from banks and cash machines. Not many local people speak English - would recommend bring a Portuguese phrase book if you don't speak Portuguese. A slideshow of the villa is available in pdf format 9.23mb.
Booking notes
Dates will be held for 7 days pending a receipt of deposit of 20% on total cost of the holiday, payment in full 6 weeks before holiday begins.
Guest comments
The owner found this location when sent to Brazil to work on a power plant project, has now been in Brazil six years and loves the place but working in a different location. Thus renting the villa.
