Tranquilo is approached via a private drive with ample parking leading to covered terraces with a built in barbeque. A sun terrace with sufficient loungers surrounds the beautiful 8x4m pool and there is a dining table and chairs seating 8 available for those all-important alfresco meals. A further sun terrace is accessed from the master bedroom on the first floor. The villa is maintained to the highest standard by our English speaking Management Team and contains everything necessary for a truly memorable and comfortable holiday. A newly fitted kitchen, bedroom ceiling fans, Sky TV, a small library of holiday reading and even a selection of children’s games means your every need is catered for while you relax in your holiday home. As it is of paramount importance to the owners that you have a peaceful and relaxing holiday, every effort has been made to make Villa Tranquilo truly a home from home.

Changeover day
Change over day FRIDAY. The villa will be available from 2pm on date of arrival and will need to be vacated by 10am on date of departure.

Accessibility
Access: via several steps from main gate or quite steep driveway. However if driven down to bottom of drive , once on terrace all areas are flat and accessible on the ground floor. The master bedroom is on the first floor and is accessed via a steep staircase.
Outside
The beautiful 8x4 m pool is accessed via steps into the shallow end and is illuminated at night. The surrounding sun terrace has an ample amount of sun beds and there is a brick built BBQ and large dining table seating up to 8 people. The garden is made up of Palms, Oleander and various colourful indigenous flowers and shrubs. Large pine trees offer some welcome shade in which to escape the heat of the day. Foliage completely surrounds the garden making it a private and secluded area in which to relax.
Coast/Beach
The spectacular safe sandy beach of Son Parc is about a 13 minute walk away through the pines and sand dunes. Here you will find gently sloping access into shallow water, ideal for the very young and old alike. There is also the added peace of mind given by the presence of a lifeguard on duty. Sun beds, umbrellas, and canoes can all be hired during the high season also a small beach bar is open serving drinks and meals.
Golf
The Son Parc golf course is a short drive from the villa or approximately one mile walk. Here you will find a driving range, club house with restaurant and bar open to the public, tennis courts and a championship 18 hole course. The course is very picturesque and has a water feature lake with wild fowl and peacocks roaming freely. Temporary membership of the club is offered and clubs available for hire.
Travel
A car is recommended, but there is a bus service running in the summer months from Son Parc centre a short walk from the villa, calling at the delightful fishing village of Fornells, and the large towns of Mahon and Ciutadella. The airport at Mahon is approximately 35 minutes away by car/taxi.
Distances
The centre of Son Parc is 5 minute walk and Son Saura beach is a short 13 minute walk away. Fornells the nearest resort, is approximately a 15 minute drive away. The town of Mahon and the airport are about a 35 minute drive.
Further details
There are several super markets within Son Parc plus a variety of gift shops restaurants and bars to suit every taste and age group.For a greater variety of shops, a Bank and chemist etc visit Mercadal, approximately 20 minutes by car.A good selection of gift shops and restaurants can be found in Fornells a picturesque fishing village, a 15 minute drive away.Also water sports may be enjoyed here. Horse riding is also to be found nearby and bird watching is possible on the wetlands behind the beach at Son Parc and also at Es Grau. There is an abundance of wildlife on the island and the beautiful countryside of the interior is ideal for walkers. This villa has been issued with a tourist license from the Consell Insular De Menorca and fully complies with current Spanish Law, relating to quality and safety.

About the owner
Hi, We are Patty & Richard Wilkinson and have owned Villa Tranquilo for several years. Patty is a Project Officer for Age Concern and Richard owns an Electronics Design Company. We have a son, Daniel, in his final year at University studying Business Management.
We live in a 1720's cottage in the UK which we have spent many years renovating and we share our home with 3 Burmese cats.
We also spend as much time as we are able over on Menorca and love the peace and quiet of the villa and the laid back Menorcan life style. We spend time and money updating and improving the villa every year, the most recent work being a brand new kitchen, and also a power shower in the master bedroom ensuite. We endeavour to make the villa feel like a home from home and provide holiday reading and music CDs.
