Chosen to feature in a top interior design magazine, this spacious villa has plenty of room for families or groups of friends to socialise, but has private areas where couples can be alone together or you can take a break from the teenagers! For fans of Can't Cook, Won't Cook, the village's bakery is at the end of the lane for vital supplies of strong hot coffee and delicious food! With a good bus service, village amenities & taxis all mins away, you can save on the cost of hiring a car.

Notes on prices
BOOK NOW for 2012. £100 discount for family groups & groups of 6 adults or less! JULY week available now due to cancellation. Prices are for 7 nights rental in UK £'s so we take the hit in the FX fluctuations not you (always a help when budgeting) 50% deposit to reserve, with the balance (incl. damage deposit) due 8wks before arrival. Rental includes Air Conditioning, linen, towels, pool towels, free WiFi, laptop and kitchen/bathroom basics. Book with confidence: 8th year of renting.

Changeover day
We rent Saturday to Saturday in high season. Arrival should be after 3pm and departure at 10am (to allow for cleaning). Arriving on an earlier flight or leaving on a later one? No problem. We'll store your suitcases so you don't have to worry about them.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
Villa has full A/C and all windows are shuttered keeping the rooms cool for your comfort. Families with toddlers may like to note that the villa has lockable gates from the BBQ area and from the lounge terrace that close off the pool, so you can relax. A cot with bedding and highchair can be provided FOC, (please ask). Adult groups please note the villa is in a quiet village setting not a resort so it's not suitable for parties, loud gatherings, or the playing of loud music. Inside the villa is 'no smoking'. Chilled drinks and snacks are waiting for you on arrival along with kitchen basics - there's no need to buy dishwasher tablets and loo roll here! Also supplied: Netbook laptop, free WiFi, iPod docking station, wine chiller cabinet, UK TV, pool towels, 3 hairdryers, GHD hair straighteners, shower gel, handwash and soap. We like to think we've thought of most things (there's even fresh mint grown for Mojitos!) and of course it all helps with baggage allowance!

Accessibility
The villa has a groundfloor bedroom and 'walk in shower' room which is perfect for those with mobility problems who can't manage stairs or 'over the bath' showers, however a small number of steps are involved in accessing the house from the lane and the BBQ area, so do please ask for further information.
We are sorry to say the villa isn't suitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
An alfresco dining area in the sunken garden seats 8 comfortably under cover. It's completed by a large outdoor BBQ (help yourself to the herb garden!) and the shady 'chill' out area where you can relax in the summer breeze on comfy beanbags whilst listening to the relaxing sounds of the Buddha water feature. The roof terrace (has sun all day) is great for sunbathing in privacy, you can get that elusive all over tan! The large terraces off the bedrooms & lounge ensure you can laze away the day - try the comfortable 'pod' (put the hood up, plump up the cushions and snooze in the shade!). The private pool is 9x4m & is sun-splashed all day long. There're 6 quality teak sun loungers. Chairs, tables & sofa are provided around the garden for relaxation & dining. In the evening transform the garden & terraces with candles (supplied), lanterns & the atmospheric lighting - great for BBQs, or sit quietly on the roof terrace & gaze at the stars. Day or night this villa has lots to offer!

Coast/Beach
The villa is perfectly placed for quick access to the west coast beaches of Ibiza including stylish Las Salinas where all the famous people head for (12 minutes by car/taxi), trendy Cala Jondal with its fantastic restaurants or the snorkelers' favourite Cala Moli which is quiet even in August (5 minutes by car).

Buses run through the village to the beaches of Cala Tarida, Cala Vadella and the Bay of San Antonio where you can catch water ferries to beaches such as Cala Conta or Cala Bassa.

Golf
The island's golf course, the 27 hole Roca Llisa, is about 15kms (20 minutes by car) away.

Special interest holidays
Around the village of San Jose and the rest of Ibiza there are numerous bike paths and walks that can be enjoyed.
The town hall has provided information on the routes available - please ask if you are interested and we can forward the details onto you. We can advise on the historic sites dotted around the island, should that take your interest.
Cycling is a popular activity (particularly out of the main season) and there are many challenging routes as well as the velodrome situated on the outskirts of San Antonio.

Travel
The airport is 10 mins away by car/taxi. Car hire isn't essential when staying at the villa as buses run hourly to both San Antonio and Ibiza. The village has a supermarket (closed Sunday), bars, shops and restaurants. Should you wish to hire a car it can be organised from Companies at the Airport or San Antonio. Taxis are easy to flag down in the village or try the bookable 'ibuss' service. An airport bus runs through the village during summer from San Antonio (in July/August 'til 2.30am).

Distances
Cosmopolitan Ibiza town is 15 minutes by car/bus and €18 in a taxi, whilst San Antonio is 10 minutes away by car/bus.
The airport is a 10 minute drive away.
As Ibiza is a small island most places are only a short drive away. Being travel writers we can offer plenty of tips on where to go, what to see and how to get there; a quiet beach in August? Fabulous restaurants that won't cost the earth? Buy club tickets online? - no need to pour over guide books, just ask! We're happy to help.

Further details
Don't you just hate having to get in a car and drive when you run out of something? Do you always end up being the designated driver? Well relax, only minutes away on foot the village has everything you need; some top class restaurants, a tapas bar where there's no menu - you just point at what you want! a good supermarket with many well-known brands, a butcher, fishmonger, 3 banks, post office, newsagents, church, patisserie (fab cakes and croissants!), children's playground (great for the little ones), many speciality shops (handbags, jewellery, beachwear) and a chemist, doctor and dentist. In the evenings the local cafe bar has live music three times a week in its charming courtyard garden. Or soak up the atmosphere in the 'local' bar which is as cheap as chips! Many of our clients enjoy being car-free whilst others welcome the fact they don't have the extra cost of hiring 2 cars for their full holiday - particularly in the high season when it can be expensive! If you want to explore then escape on the regular bus service that runs through the village which can take you to cosmopolitan Ibiza Town, lively San Antonio, family orientated San Jose bay or a couple of near by beaches, or flag down a taxi - you don't have to be tied to a car. We can also provide details of a 'private chauffeur' service. San Jose village is the perfect place to holiday if you want access to the nightlife and restaurants, but prefer to leave the tourist hustle and bustle behind. Very much a local village, from the church bells peeling each morning at 8 to the old 'guys' sitting in the cafe on the square drinking their daily brandy you'll experience a slice of the real Ibiza and it's all within walking distance from the villa.
If you do plan on hiring a car to experience Ibiza fully the villa is located within easy reach of the best beaches, Ibiza Town and many of the villages. We'll happily provide guidance to the best spots to visit, easy parking and even where you might try for lunch!

A reasonable security deposit of £400 is also payable with the final balance and is refunded via internet transfer, following cleaning and checking of the villa.
