Large, sunny, west-facing terrace with breathtaking views, perfect for al fresco dining. 5 mins walk from a beautiful cove and sandy beach. 5-10 min walk to 3 restaurants and a super local shop selling fresh bread and cakes, and provisions. The location is perfect for families, couples or golfers. 10-15 minute walk or 2 mins drive to the larger resort of Peguera, with its numerous restaurants, supermarkets, shops, bars, and 3 large beaches. The complex is gated, with communal gardens, a pool with separated children’s pool, loungers & parasols, & an allocated parking space. Apartment is non-smoking. No pets. Fully air conditioned (both hot/cold), making ideal for year-round holidays. Very suitable for children. Perfect location for families, couples, golfers. Apartment is 1 of just 22 which share the gardens and pool facilities, all privately owned and virtually never fully occupied. Price includes basic welcome grocery pack on arrival & miscellaneous consumables, eg washing machine tablets etc. Arrivals pack posted with lots of local info & maps etc. Everything you need to enable you to quickly relax into your holiday! Accessibility
As Cala Fornells is fairly hilly, it is not considered suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Outside
Spacious, sunny, west-facing terrace with lovely view of pools and forested hills in distance (acccessed off the living area via lockable doors) has dining furniture for 4 & 2 loungers. Beautiful shared gardens, an adult and separate children's pool, with loungers & parasols. Pools maintained daily. Shower and toilet facilities adjoin the pools. Apartment and contents all brand new summer 2005. Allocated parking space.
Coast/Beach
Walk across road to beautiful small, shingly cove. 5 min walk to sandy beach Cala Fornells, loungers, shades & beach kiosk, pine trees - across road from a lovely cafe terrace.. 10-15 mins walk/2 min drive to 3 larger sandy beaches of Peguera. 5 mins drive to beach and restaurant on the jetty at Camp De Mar. 15 mins stroll through forest to small secluded stony cove of Cala d'es Monjo. 10 mins drive to upmarket yachting resorts Port d'Andratx & Puerto Portals. Most beaches Blue Flag.
Golf
Great location for golfers, with 15 courses across the island. Numerous excellent courses in the area - Golf d'Andratx at Camp De Mar is the nearest, less than 5 min drive. Others nearby include Santa Ponsa, Poniente, Bendinat and Son Vida, ranging from 10 to 20 minutes drive. Details on request.
Special interest holidays
The island of Mallorca really does provide 'something for everyone'. The area around Cala Fornells is perfectly located for walking, cycling (hire available in Peguera), snorkelling, diving (lots of local clubs), sailing, watersports, golfing, or simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings, restaurants and boutiques! With hot & cold air conditioning, this apartment is perfect for year-round holidays. Winter in Mallorca is often bathed in sunshine (similar to our spring), and the countryside is at its most glorious. South-west Mallorca is well-known for being protected by the Serra Tramuntana mountains and is generally a few degrees warmer than the rest of the island.
Cala Fornells is a beautiful, peaceful area, yet with everything you need close at hand. Restaurants, a shop, and the beach are all just a 5 minute walk from our lovely apartment. This location is truly perfect, particularly for families with children, hence our decision to buy here!
Travel
Palma Airport is just 25 mins drive from the apartment. Although not essential, a car is recommended if you wish to venture further afield - can recommend which one. A bus (with air con) does run through Cala Fornells east to Santa Ponsa via Peguera, but frequency depends on days and season. Frequent and numerous buses run from Peguera east to Palma and west to Port Andratx, amongst others. Taxi ranks in Peguera, will provide tel no.
Distances
The apartment is in the pretty village of Cala Fornells, with a super small shop, 3 fantastic restaurants and 3 hotels. Busier town of Paguera with extensive facilities, chemists, boutiques, restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc is 2 mins drive/10-15 mins walk. Port d'Andratx is 10 mins drive away, with its harbour flanked by wooded hills. Magnificent, cathedral city of Palma 20 minute drive. 5 mins drive to Andratx, at the foot of Tramuntana mountains, beautiful drive to Deia, Soller etc.

2 great restaurants, 1 super tapas bar and 1 good small shop 5 minute walk in Cala Fornells. 2 hotels with cafe terraces overlooking beach also 5 minute walk within Cala Fornells. Larger, busier town of Peguera 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive (just over 1/2 mile), with 2 good large supermarkets, banks, restaurants, children's park on the beach, etc. Ideal location, great walking, good access to a wide range of towns, villages, ports and beaches, mountains, etc close by. Aqualand waterpark and Marineland 15 mins drive. Booking notes
We are happy to accept payment in Euros or British pounds. A non-refundable deposit of £250 per week is required to confirm booking, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before the date of departure. A security deposit of £200 is required with the final rental payment. The security deposit will be refunded when keys are returned and our agents confirm there has been no damage to the apartment or its contents.
