A tastefully restored old traditional stone built finca on 4 floors. Set within 3000m2 of terraced orange orchards offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains of the Sierra Tramuntana. Once the home of two reknowned British artists. The property is located on the outskirts of Fornalutx, though within easy walking distance of this award winning picturesque village. The interior is decorated in a simple warm rustic manner and is furnished with contemporary furniture, many interesting watercolour and oil paintings and also numerous Mallorcan antiques. This incomparable beautiful house with tremendous character provides accommodation for a maximum of 7 guests and features mature surrounding gardens and patios covered by pergolas. It also has an 11m x 4m mosaic swimming pool, and a covered terrace area situated within the orange groves.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. 15% discount during the winter months for bookings of one month or more. Please enquire about special discounts for couples. Subject to availability; 25% discount on advertised rates 7 days prior to arrival during low and mid season period.

Changeover day
Changeover day is ideally Saturday,for arrivals and departures. Check in time is after 3pm and check out time is 10am. Changeover day flexible on low season dates.

Bedrooms: 2 double bedrooms one with wardrobe.
1 mezzanine twin bedroom with own drawing room and bathroom on suite with wardrobe.
1 single loft platform bedroom in own annexe/stable wing.
Bathrooms: En suite bathroom with shower/bath to one of the double bedrooms.
En suite bathroom with shower to twin bedroom.
One further bathroom with shower.
Kitchen: Open-plan kitchen, with walk-in hooded hearth/dining area, dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, toaster, juicer, kettle, blender etc.
Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Living Rooms: Entrance/drawing room with Jotul wood burning stove built in library and stereo FM/CD player.
Separate single bedroom annex/stable wing with jotul wood burning stove. Additional separate drawing room on top floor.
Other: Cellar with TV/DVD/Freeview satellite/video facilities, and wrap around built in seating bench area.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
There is a weekly cleaning service and bed linen and towels are provided. Further towel change midweek, and a welcome pack is complementary.

Notes on accommodation
The house is for a maximum of 7 guests and accommodation is on 4 floors. Young children may need supervision within the orchards, gardens, pool and inside the house. There is low headroom in some of the rooms and stair landings, also a high step here and there. 2 wood burning stoves are provided, including wood during the winter. All rooms are provided with electric radiators. There is off street parking for 1 car. We regret no pets please.

Outside
The house is set in 3000m2 of terraced orange groves. There are 2 patio/terrace areas shaded by pergolas with a barbecue. Mature gardens to the front and rear of the house and a short walk from the house within the terraced orange groves lies an 11m x 4m private mosiac swimming pool with a covered terrace area.

Travel
40km/1 hour to Son San Juan, Palma airport. Car hire is recomended.

Further details
Fornalutx, meaning 'ovenlight', was originally a moorish hamlet. Located in the middle of the Serra Tramuntana mountain range, near the interesting town of Soller and the beautiful village of Binaraitx. Surrounded by terraced citrus and olive groves, positioned on the side of a valley. The village has frequently won national awards for its astounding, and unspolit beauty. Ideal for mountain excursions/walks during the winter, and close to the sea at Puerto Soller, Cala Tuent, Calobra and Cala Deia for bathing and nautical activities during the summer. Soller is a short drive down the valley and features various architectural styles, a beautiful tram link to the Puerto and an enchanting/historical train to Palma. Almost all shopping can be done within the town. Palma, the capital of the island is a 35 minute drive, partially through a mountain tunnel, which features a wealth of cultural and commercial activities to suit all tastes.

Booking notes
A non-refundable booking deposit of 25% is payable on reservation, and the remaining balance within 1 month prior to occupancy commencement date. Payable by electronic transfer to a UK bank.
