There are restaurants and shops within easy reach, approx 20 minutes from the airport.

Accessibility
Apartment is suitable for elderly or infirm, however parts of the village are wheelchair inaccessible and there are steps up to the apartment.

Coast/Beach
The nearest fine sandy beach is 500m, approximately 5 minutes walking time. The beach is safe for children with a beach bar. The crystal clear water in this area is ideal for all water sports, with a popular diving centre located next to the beach. Cala Torret has one of the prettiest beaches on the island and is still relatively undeveloped with no high rise hotels to be seen anywhere.
Travel
Nearest international airport is Mahon, approximately 8 miles from the apartment.
Car hire is not essential, but it is recommended as driving is easy with distances not too great.
Distances
Within a few steps of the apartment is a supermarket and several excellent restaurants and a wine bar.
Further details
Apartment has ceramic floor tiles throughout with modern shutters fitted all round the outside of the building. There is adequate free unrestricted parking by the apartment for your hire car, and a regular bus service and land train during the summer months to take you further along the coast. A short distance from Cala Torret you come to the renowned village of Binibeca Vell, which is famous for its architecture. In the opposite direction you will reach the busier resort of Punta Prima with golden sands and all you need. The historical town of Sant Lluis, which is dominated by a windmill, is a couple of miles inland and is well worth a visit. The present day capital Mahon with its beautiful famous natural harbour and at the opposite end of the island the old capital of Ciutadella are both well worth a visit along with many other places on this lovely UNESCO island If you want noisy nightlife and amusement parks, then in our opinion our apartment is not right for you. However if you want to mingle with Spanish people and not just with other tourists in tranquil and uncommercialised surroundings, then this is the perfect location.
