Further details
Mahon is approximately 20 minutes drive. It has the second deepest natural harbour in the world, second only to Pearl Harbour. It is easy to spend many hours down on the port, watching the ships, admiring the view, enjoying the local hospitality of the restaurants and sampling the local gin in the Xoriguer Gin Distillery.
The town has plenty to offer with many buildings of historic interest. The Church of Santa Maria is 200 years old and home to an organ of over 3000 pipes.
There are numerous shops, supermarkets, boutiques and bars and restaurants. There is an outdoor market twice a week.
