At the top of the cliff is Alto Mar, the premier site because of its panoramic view across the sea towards Majorca, often visible on a clear day. It is here that the apartment (K2 Alto Mar) is situated in beautifully laid out gardens with adult and children's pools for the exclusive use of residents. 5 minutes walk away is St Valentine Hotel with a restaurant and tennis court, with more shops, restaurants and bars 10 minutes walk. The property is under English management with an office on site.

Notes on accommodation
There are 2 large terrraces overlooking the sea. On the terrace there is a full range of patio furniture including sun loungers, sun blind, tables and chairs. A BBQ is kept in the terrace cupboard along with beach toys. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Outside
The apartment is set in pleasant gardens on a tree studded slope with adult and children's pools. Steps which lead down from the car park to K2 render it unsuitable for the disabled.
Coast/Beach
The property is on the cliff overlooking the beach of Son Bou, a 10 minute walk away. There is ample parking here and facilities including beach bars, loungers, sun umbrellas, boats for hire and other entertainments. The beach at Son Bou is 2 miles long and the largest of the 120 beaches on the island.
Golf
There is only one golf course on Menorca. It is situated at SonParc about 8-9 miles away.
Travel
Mahon airport is 20 minutes by car. Car hire is strongly recommended. Please ask us for details.
Distances
Alaior is 4 miles away. Mahon 10 miles and Ciutadella approx 20 miles.
Further details
In Son Bou, at the bottom of the hill, can be found tennis courts, water chutes, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and bars. There are currency exchange facilities and car hire outlets. The wetlands of Son Bou are of special interest to nature lovers - reference books available in our library. The ancient capital, Cuitadella, with its Moorish and French influences, and the modern capital Mahon, are both well worth a visit. Little fishing villages at the edge of the blue Mediterranean and historical sites add to the attractions whilst the glorious sunshine draws forth the fragrance of the many herbs and illuminates the lovely spring flowers. If you are a walker this is the best time to visit. The exotic birds and butterflies are an attraction in themselves.
Booking notes
A deposit is needed to secure the booking with the balance payable 7 weeks before the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than 8 weeks from its commencement, the full charge is payable. All clients are required to take out cancellation insurance. If you fail to insure or if your claim does not qualify, the following applies: a) if we are unable to re-let, then all moneys paid by the holidaymaker shall be forfeit. b) If we re-let we shall refund all moneys less handling charge £20 per week.
