| This exquisite property has been lovingly cared for by its owners and has been furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard. It overlooks the pool and tropical gardens on one side and the sea on the other, making it light, bright and airy. The totally modernised kitchen is fully equipped and includes hob, combo oven/microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, etc. The large lounge has large sofas, 32” LCD TV with all FTV channels and DVD player. There are French windows that open onto a covered terrace complete with terrace furniture and stunning views of the sea and coastline. The main bedroom includes a fully fitted wardrobe, King size bed has sprung mattress with topper and views of the sea and coast. The second bedroom has two full size divan single beds, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. The fully refurbished bathroom is fully tiled and includes a modern shower cubicle with rain forest shower head, etc. Both bedrooms have oscillating fans for those barmy summer nights. | |
Notes on accommodation
All the properties have been furnished and equipped to a very high standard with everything you need to ensure a truly memorable holiday. They are especially suitable for family holidays owing to their proximity to all the amenities including beautiful beaches, swimming pools, shops and café/bars. The whole area is a true haven of peace and tranquility, perfect for those seeking to simply unwind, relax and soak up the uniqueness of this very special place. We provide all linen and towels (except beach towels) and these are changed weekly. There is a hair drier and iron in each property. Air-conditioning or bedroom fans are standard and the accommodation is all on one level except El Regalo which is a duplex. Also all properties have mounted safes for your extra security, smoke alarms and extinguishers. Should you encounter any unforeseen problems during your stay maintenance cover is provided. There is a no smoking policy inside all properties.
Cots and an extra bed can be hired.
Accessibility
Our one bedroom property is located on ground floor and the two bedroom property is up a short flight of stairs. There is ample car parking for each property that is very close-by.
Sa Caseta is suitable for wheelchair access and is only 30 metres from the car park.
Outside
This private resort is built into the hills that overlook the bay of Tirant & Mediterranean ensuring you have spectacular views wherever you are. The nearby pine woods, plants, meadows and wildlife are of such beauty and significance that the area has been declared a National Park. All the properties have open terraces and an electric BBQ is available on request.
The uniqueness of the design and the sensational location has made this resort one of the most photographed in the Mediterranean and featured on several Spanish TV channels, it has also been designated as ‘A place of special interest’ by the Spanish Tourist Board. The safe and sandy beach is only a few minutes walk short walk. Apart from beach there are numerous inlets perfect for swimming or snorkelling. There is also spectacular coastal walk to the internationally acclaimed fishing village of Fornells. The resort includes several small but well stocked supermarkets, as well as friendly café/bars and excellent restaurants.
Coast/Beach
The properties are located within a few metres of the sea and only a minute or so from numerous little coves, perfect for swimming, snorkelling and discovering the abundant marine life beneath you. The main beach of Tirant is a few minutes walk away. Within 15 minutes drive there many more unspoilt beaches to discover. Golf
Thre is an 18 hole public course 10 minutes drive away.
Travel
The airport (Mahon) is approx 20-25 minutes drive away, car hire is not essential but there are car hire facilities on the resort. The port at Mahon is also approx. 25 minutes away and has a daily ferry service to and from Barcelona.
In summer there is a regular bus service from resort to local towns and Mahon, the capital.
Distances
Close by there are all types of boating and sailing activities as well as boat hire and scuba diving. There is horse riding with a few minutes drive and plenty of fabulous walks through the woods and valleys. The wildlife biosphere at Albuferia is only 30 minutes away as is the beautiful old city of Mahon and the old medieval citadel of Ciutadella is only slightly further. For those who prefer antiquity, Menorca has plenty of historical sites.
Further details
The resort of Playas de Fornells is different from what many people expect a seaside resort to be, it is the very essence of peacefulness and tranquility as there are no nightclubs nor does it have wall to wall bars. The emphasis is on 'Tranquilo' - where you are encouraged to simply relax and let the world pass-by. The peacefulness together with the self-sufficiency of this resort make it an ideal destination for both families and couples of any age.
The capital of Mahon is well worth a visit as is the spectacular harbour (second largest in the world) and visit the little ‘tiendas’ and tapas bars in the old city squares and along the harbour.
The old capital of Ciutadella is a medieval walled city that was built by wealthy merchants and still contains many of their palaces, try the cobbled narrow streets that adorn the old city centre near the cathedral or visit the old fish market or the fruit and vegetable stalls. The island has over 300 beaches most of them unspoilt, having no commercial activity at all.
Wherever you go whatever you do on this little island you will never forget that you are in Spain, there is not the rampant commercialism of the costas, nor the wall to wall 'chips with everything' bars and restaurants of Mallorca and the mainland, no 10' straw donkeys or 6' sombreros, gone are McDonalds, Primark or Marks and Spencers.
Instead there are 200 year old merchants palaces , tiny 'locals' where you can sip a sangia and listen to the chatter of the Menorquines, harbours where you can watch the fish being landed from fishing 'llauts' some older than the owners. Watch in awe at the skill of the 'caixers' riding the famous black Menorcan stallions in the jaleos during fiesta, listen and watch the local dance groups in national dress singing and dancing in the town squares Menorca is where you sit, relax let the world drift by and pretend, if only for a short while, that you are in a time long lost in the modern world.

Exit time is 10 am or 11 am depending on property booked likewise entry times are 2 pm - 3 pm. No pets are allowed.
