Sleeping a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children our comfortably furnished and well equipped home is located in a tranquil spot, with lovely sea views out over the North coast of Menorca. The property is very spacious with a large living area and covered balcony upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. The balcony is ideal for outdoor dining during the summer months. There is a large communal pool with a smaller pool for children, it is approx 72 sq.m, as this is a private complex the pool is rarely busy, you may often find yourselves the only ones there. Please note that inflatables such as lilos etc are not allowed in the swimming pool. The house also has 2 private gardens plus a large communal garden.

Changeover day
Flexible Changeover day. Vacate time is 10am and occupancy not before 2pm, unless otherwise agreed.

Notes on accommodation
Cot and highchair are available for use free of charge, please state if they are needed at time of enquiry/booking. The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children and is ideal for families and couples alike. It is a very friendly community where respect for the Spanish way of life is appreciated.
Outside
The property benefits from private gardens both front and back. There is a barbecue for guests use along with ample outdoor seating. Parking is available outside the front of the house or there is a private parking area accessed via the side of the complex. The private garden (with gate) at the rear of the house gives access to the communal garden and large pool. The area is very well lit at night.
Coast/Beach
The horse shoe bay of Arenal d'en Castell with it's clear blue water is a pleasant 15 minute walk. The bay itself has a gently shelving beach which is extremely safe. The soft sand beach is large enough to never feel overcrowded. The resort is popular with families and couples seeking a relaxing holiday. The fishing village of Na Macaret with its own small beach and Addaia with its marina are also within easy reach.
Golf
The only golf course (18 holes) on the island is at Son Parc which is the next resort along from Arenal D'En Castell and approx 15 minutes away by car.
Travel
Menorca's airport in Mahon is a 20 minute drive. Car hire is not essential, but is recommended. All roads are very well signposted and it is a pleasure to drive on this island. Taxi fare from the airport to Coves Noves is approx 30 Euros. We will be happy to assist finding flights or car hire if help is needed.
Distances
Coves Noves is an extension of the popular resort of Arenal D'en Castell, it has its own restaurants, bars and supermarket. This is all a convenient short walk from the property. Just a little bit further is the main area of Arenal D'en Castell with its own bars and restaurants. There are no nightclubs in Arenal.
Further details
Diving is available in the local area and there are many excellent dive sites around the island. The nearest cashpoint is by the supermarket in Coves Noves. During the Summer months there is a regular bus service from Arenal into the capital Mahon. Mahon has a street market (Tuesday and Saturday), Gin Factory and a beautiful harbour - boat trips around the harbour are available. The bus also goes to Fornells which is well worth a visit - it is well known for its fish restaurants, even if you don't want to eat here it is a lovely place to visit and walk around. Menorca offers more beaches than the other Balearics and is ideal for families and couples seeking sun, sea and relaxation. To get the best from your holiday to Menorca car hire is recommended.
When staying in the Coves Noves area you are allowed full access to the nearby Tennis Club and all its facilities - which include large swimming pool and restaurant.
Booking notes
A deposit of £100 per week booked is needed to secure the booking. Balance is to be paid 10 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £200 is required with the balance. This will be returned in full within 7 days of holiday completion (providing there is no loss or damage). Payment can be made either by cheque or direct bank transfer. Please ensure you arrange comprehensive travel insurance for your holiday.

About the owner
We live on the outskirts of London with our 2 boys aged 18 and 15 plus 3 cats. We both work in central London and it is our ambition to eventually move to Menorca permanently.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having travelled to a reasonable number of holiday destinations within Europe, we discovered that Menorca is the one place we never tire of and love returning to. The local people are extremely friendly and welcoming. It is not over commercialised and is a relaxing place to recharge your batteries before returning to the hustle and bustle of city life in the UK. We bought our lovely house on the North Coast of the island as we like the ruggedness and scenery in the area, plus we think Arenal d'en Castell has one of the best beaches on the island. Driving on the island is always a pleasure, we have easy access to the rest of the island and the airport and ferry port are just 20 minutes drive away.
Unique benefits of the property
Our house is situated in a quiet street, it is very roomy (135sq.m) and bright. Newer built properties with 3 bedrooms tend to be limited on space, our complex, built in the 90's, benefits from having a very large communal pool (approx 72sq.m) much larger than on most complexes (our pool cleaner has commented on this). It is rarely busy even during Peak Season so is a definite plus. We also have private gardens both front and back, the front area is ideal for barbecues and early evening drinks as the sun is going down.
