A one bedroom apartment situated on the Marina D'or 2 holiday complex on the Cala Egos side of Cala D'or. It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the nearest sun drenched beach and about the same distance to the international jetset Marina. There are a number of fine restaurants and bars nearby and an internet cafe. Cala Mondrago, possibly the best beach in the Balearics, can be reached by tourist mini train from Cala Egos(about 6 kms). The nightlife is relaxed revolving around the twin centres of Cala D'or and Cala Egos and around the harbour,and there are plenty of nightclubs in the centre of Cala D'or.

Changeover day
There is no specific changeover day but we prefer Mondays if possible as most budget airlines are at their cheapest on Mondays. However so long as bookings don't encroach on incoming/outgoing guests we're quite flexible. Guests must leave by midday.

Bedrooms: 1 bedroom apartment with king size double bed and fully fitted wardrobes (there is also a travel cot) and ceiling fan. Double sofabed in lounge.
Bathrooms: Separate fully tiled bathroom with bath/shower, sink and WC.
Kitchen: A full fitted kitchen with all modern appliances, hob, microwave, sink, fridge/freezer etc.
Utility Room: In the utility room there's a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron.
Living Rooms: A lounge area with dining area and a sitting room with a double pull-out sofa bed with air-con . DVD and CD player and some freeview TV channels are available for guests.

Notes on accommodation
The complex is well suited for children, a toddler pool is close to the apartments.However the apartment balcony may not be suitable for small children.

Outside
Sliding doors open out onto a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the pools. There are 7 swimming pools on the complex, of various shapes and sizes, set amongst palm lined landscaped gardens.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Des Pou, it's about a 5-10 minute stroll to get there. Cala Gran beach in Cala D'or centre can be reached by taxi or minitrain (costs about 5 euros), or you could walk around the marina, it takes roughly 20 minutes. The national park of Mondrago can be reached by bus or taxi and is truly breathtaking. There are about 7-8 other beaches/calas around Cala D'or and all are well worth a visit. Miles of golden sand of es Trenc on the south coast can be reached by bus or hire car.

Golf
Vall D'or golf course is about a 10 minute car ride away from Cala D'or.

Travel
The nearest airport is Palma, it's about a 45 minute drive. Transfers can be arranged to and from Cala D'or or you could hire a car at the airport or before you arrive via the internet, the airport shuttlebus is another cheap option but you would need to pre-book at least 48 hours before your arrival. Many amenities/attractions are close to the apartment, so a car is not essential, but can be useful for traveling further distances to see the many other delights Mallorca has to offer.

Distances
Palma is about 70 kms away and well worth a visit. The picturesque village of Porto Petro is only a mile away. There's a twice daily boat trip from des pou/es forti beach to the fishermans wharf at Cala Figuera, possibly the most photographed in the Balearics. The spectacular Caves of Drach can be reached daily by bus from the main street in Cala Egos. A bus also runs to the Sunday morning market at Felanitx from here.

Further details
The local supermarket (5 minute walk) caters for everything. There are a number of banks in Cala D'or centre. Scuba Diving can be booked at the marina quayside as can speed boat rides and pleasure cruises. Pedaloe's and canoes can be hired at Cala Gran and Mondrago beaches and at the booking agents on Cala Egos main street. The spectacular shows 'Pirates' in Magaluf (highly recommended for kids and old alike!) and 'Son Amar' can also be booked there. Horse riding is also available in the area. You can also hire scooters,bicycles and quads in Cala Egos. High speed wave riders can be booked by the marina. For a 2 minute High Definition film of Cala D'or - please ask for website details.

Booking notes
Payment by cheque only. A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total amount. Balance is due 6 weeks before departure from the UK. A £50 'Safe key return'/breakages payment is added to the final balance, this will be returned on receipt of keys.
