This traditional spacious Menorcan detached villa with 2 twin bedrooms and 1 double bedroom with en-suite has been superbly refurbished, sleeps 6-7 (additional bed available for Bedroom 2 if required), situated in a quiet position but central to Cala En Porter. The beach or town are only a 5 minute walk. The villa offers great uninterrupted views of the valley in front and the terrace/swimming pool is enclosed to give privacy. More spacious than average with larger room sizes and swimming pool this villa is positioned over 2 plots.

Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day and guests must vacate by 10am on day of departure to allow cleaning of the villa for incoming guests who can take possession from 12 noon.

Notes on accommodation
Perfect location, close to all amenities but with privacy, uninterrupted views of valley to the front. All bedrooms have ample built in cupboards and drawers and have bedside tables. The separate kitchen has fitted cupboards housing both indoor crockery and outdoor wares.

Outside
8 x 4 metre private pool with poolside shower (Depth of pool 1m deep for 2m graduating down to 2m deep). Large terrace with 3 piece suite and coffee table under gazebo, built in barbecue, 6 seater patio table and chairs, 6 sunbeds. Outside bar with hot and cold water, electricity and fridge. Side terrace with drying line. Roof terrace with stunning views of valley. Off street parking.

Coast/Beach
The sandy cove of Cala En Porter is only a 5 minute walk down hill. The cove is serviced by a few bars/shops on the promenade and also has sunbeds and pedalos for hire. There are other beaches in close proximity but a car would be required.

Travel
Mahon Airport is only a 15 minute drive, the taxi fare is approximately 15 euros (2004), car not necessary if you want a villa based holiday as the supermarkets which are only a 5 minute walk away, offer a delivery service.

Distances
Mahon town is 15 minutes away by car and there is a bus which runs from Cala En Porter to Mahon, which you can board at the top of the steps down to the beach. The Caves d'en Xori are at the other end of Cala en Porter around a 25 minute walk, during the day it is a quiet place to visit and look around, but at night transforms itself into a nightclub, offering different types of music most nights. Ciutadella, which used to be Menorca's capital is around a 45 minute drive.

Further details
The local shops are some 5 minutes walk and include supermarkets, gift shops, perfumery, clothing, shoes which are interspersed with bars and restaurants offering a good variety of food. Many of the bars have entertainment at least one night a week, offering the holidaymaker something different each evening from Karaoke to Tribute bands. There is a local bank and a money exchange in the town.There is also a kids fun house and a couple of small parks.

Booking notes
Bookings are for Saturday lets only. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking to confirm reservation, with the balance payable at least 10 weeks prior to arrival.

About the owner
Hi there my name is Tracey and with Pete I live just a few minutes from Casa de Estrellas here in Menorca.Therefore we are always on hand should you need anything. I have been coming here for 33 years and lived here since 1999. I bought my first property here at the age of 19 and although I've been to many other places no-where else ticked all the boxes. This is where I chose to bring my children.Calan Porter is a Spanish\English mix and we are a close caring community which makes it a very safe place for children. The Island is very green and unspoilt with beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery. I do hope you come and spend some time here with us as I'm sure like me and many others you will want to return again and again!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We chose this particular villa because the location and views are so amazing. It is a very quiet location but within easy walking distance to everything. The villa itself we love because its so spacious and airy and being a double plot there is plenty of room outside.

Unique benefits of the property
This property is so close to all amenities and yet so peaceful. No problems with parking and having an outside bar with a fridge and hot and cold running water makes it a must.
