These spacious apartments with their elegant mediterranean style and either rooftop or garden terrace are situated just seconds away from the soft white sandy beach and azure blue sea. It is only a short walk to shops, bars, restaurants and all other amenities. An evening stroll to the Cala Romantica is a memory that will be cherished forever.

Changeover day
Bookings are generally from Saturday to Saturday, but we can be flexible. The apartments should be vacated by 10am on day of departure for cleaning purposes. And can normally only be accessed after 3pm. But we can store your luggage securely if necessary

Separate bathroom for bedroom 2 and 3 with bath/shower and wc.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with integrated oven/hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, fruit press and toaster. Crockery, glasses and cutlery are also provided.
Utility Room: A separate laundry with washing machine, iron / ironing board and washing line.
Living Rooms: Dining area, large balcony with table and chairs, living area with 2 double settees, coffee table, satellite TV, DVD and hi-fi.
Other: Air conditioning, off road parking, pool, rooftop terrace with sunloungers and a shaded area. Gas fired central heating (for the winter).

Notes on accommodation
Note: Please bring your own beach towels! In both apartments there is a washing machine and dishwasher. Our local representative, Anne, will look after any special needs you have. We also have a broadband DSL-Internet access for both apartments.

Accessibility
The access is not suitable for a wheelchair, but the garden apartment can be reached fromthe street (parking area) with only 4 steps.

Outside
Apartment Lydia has a large balcony overlooking the beach and a huge secluded rooftop terrace. Large pool (for the 12 apartments) with fresh water shower.
Both apartments have at least 4 sunloungers.

Coast/Beach
Cala Mandia is a quiet low-rise resort with a few bars and excellent restaurants. There are 2 hotels with different evening programmes just a stroll away. Overall, it is a good base if you want somewhere away from the hustle and bustle but with all the facilities, and would like to use it as a central starting point for island excursions. Cala Mandia also has numerous tennis courts and there is a Scuba Diving school at the beach. By car is the best way to explore this beautiful exotic island.

Golf
The next golf course is about 15 mins. drive, and there are 6 golf courses within a 30 min. drive.

Travel
Hop on the tourist bus-train (stops 100m from the apartments), this will take you in to Portocristo, which has lots of nice shops to look around. From Portocristo you can get a bus to almost anywhere on the Island. The tourist train cost 2.70 euros per person and includes the return trip. If you choose to get a taxi to and from Portocristo it will cost around 9 euros each way.

Distances
It takes around 1 hour to transfer from the airport, and a taxi will cost approx. 80 euros one way. We offer a pick-up/drop-off service for 55 euros one way.

Further details
There are 3 sandy beaches. All are beautiful and very safe for children. Cala Mandia has been repeatedly awarded the blue flag for water quality. There are also boat trips along the local coastline. You can take a 2 hour round trip along the coast. The boat stops half way and lets the passengers have a dip in the sea. A real treat. Recommended are also trips to Son Amar, the Aquarium in Palma and Marineland.

Booking notes
There is a 25% non-refundable deposit payable upon booking with the full balance due 6 weeks before your departure. For last-minute bookings the total amount is payable immediately.

We are home safe after our wonderful time in your apartment Lydia. Thank you for recommending it as you said! we were not disappointed and we enjoyed the view and sound of the beach. Everything went very well we ate almost everynight at las palmeras next door (as I said my mother did not walk very well) he was very accomodating and even allowed us to go off menu and cooked our suggestions for us. We recommend it highly. We loved having the pool almost to ourselves (we only shared twice with our neighbours (nice people).

About the owner
In 2004 we purchased the first apartment Lydia and one year later the apartment underneath Pablo. We now live in the Apartment Pablo, but we are actively marketing holiday fincas, houses, apartments and chalets for our friends, neighbours and customers. Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We chose Majorca because it combines all the things we love. Fine sandy beaches with a warm crystal clear mediterranean sea, a mild climate in winter with snow capped mountains. Majorca is well serviced by all leading european airlines (standard and charter) with a maximum flying time of between two and three hours. We chose Cala Mandia because it is a village with no high-rise buildings but with two large hotels offering a variety of programmes for young and old. Also the weather on the East coast of Majorca is more stable and dryer than in the north or south of the island.

Unique benefits of the property
There are several international standard golf courses within a few minutes car ride.
