This large, modern penthouse apartment is in the centre of Cala Bona, in a new development of only 48 apartments surrounding a communal pool. Sandy Cala Bona beach and sea-front promenade is less than a minutes walk, and the promenade stretches all the way from Cala Bona harbour 3 miles to neighbouring Cala Millor. The apartment is on the fourth floor and has a patio for outdoor dining and a separate sun-deck for private bathing with a wonderful mountain view. It is fully air conditioned, and has heating for winter guests. It is extremely comfortable and the ideal base for a family holiday. There is lift access straight to the apartment door from the ground floor and underground carpark. It is only 45 minutes from Palma airport so you can be on the beach from the UK by lunchtime! Taxi transfers can be arranged for your convenience, and a local agent is on hand all year round to provide help if required.

Notes on prices
Payment is also accepted in Euros. Shorter breaks are available at the daily rate. Longer winter lets are available at discounted rates. A refundable security deposit will be required (£125).
Changeover day
The changeover day is flexible, and we do try to accomodate late arrivals to flights.
Short golfing breaks & longer winter breaks are also welcome.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a king size bed & room for the baby cot. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Bedroom 3 has bunk beds, plus a single bed size pull-out bed for flexibility. All bedrooms have hot and cold a/c's & fitted wardrobes, with sea or pool views. |

| Kitchen: | The apartment has a fully fitted modern kitchen with a range of stainless steel appliances, including microwave. A full range of excellent quality cooking equipment is provided so guests can eat in if they want a change from the many restaurants nearby. |
| Utility Room: | There is a separate utility area containing an automatic washing machine, hot water boiler and drying space. |
| Living Rooms: | The large open plan living room is very light, with lovely marble floors. There are 2 three-seater sofas, and dining table and chairs seating 6. There is a flat-screen TV, radio and CD player. There is a large collection of DVDs to watch in the apartment. |

Notes on accommodation
Strictly no smoking is allowed in the apartment. The apartment is equipped for young children (cot, high-chair, plates, glasses, cutlery etc). There is also a toy-box! However this is a fourth floor apartment, so children should be supervised at all times when on the terrace, balconies and sun-deck.
Accessibility
The apartment is suitable for people with mobility problems as there is lift access right to the apartment door. We have had a number of disabled and elderly people staying in the apartment to date. It is very push-chair friendly too.
Outside
The private terrace is large enough for dining outside, and is a wonderful place to sit and watch the sunsets over the mountain. The table and chairs accomodate six, and there is a large shade to keep off the sun.
There is also a second private roof terrace, with sun-loungers for sun-bathing. This enjoys a great pool and mountain view.
The complex has a shared swimming pool with a separate area for children.
There is plenty of space for kids to play safely away from the pool within the gated community, large enough for football, tennis or riding bikes which can be hired cheaply locally.
Please note that partying and excessive noise around the pool at night is prohibited by the management company!
Coast/Beach
The sandy beach of Cala Bona is only a 2 minute level walk from the apartment. The apartment is centrally located, near many restaurants and grocery shops. The lovely harbour at Cala Bona, with all its bars, shops and restaurants, is only 5 minutes walk along the sea-promenade to the left. And to the right is the 3 mile long beach of Cala Millor. Both beaches have sun-beds and umbrellas to rent, showers and life-guards, plus water-sports. There is a 5 star PADI dive centre in Cala Bona too.
Golf
There are 4 golf courses within 15km of the apartment; three 18-hole (PGA - Golf de Pula, Capdepera Golf & Golf Canyamel), and one 9-hole (Golf Son Servera).
Travel
The apartment is only 45 mins from Palma airport! Car hire is recommended, just because there is so much to see in Majorca. However a car is not required in the resort, and a transfer by taxi can be arranged for you (max 4 persons) for 50 euros each way. The tourist train, serving all of the local resorts of Cala Bona, Cala Millor, Sa Coma, stops outside the apartment. There are also plenty of buses to the island's markets. There is a taxi rank 50 yards away.
Distances
The neighbouring resorts of Cala Millor, Sa Coma & S'illot can be reached by local bus & tourist train that stop outside the apartment complex. The beautiful resorts of Cala Rajada & Porto Cristo (home of the Caves of Drach tourist attraction) are about 20 minutes by car, plus there are boat trips from Cala Millor all around the coast. The markets of Inca, Arta & Sineu can be reached by local buses or taxi if you don't have a hire car. Cala Bona is a great base to explore the whole island!
Further details
Cala Bona is well served by restaurants (great seafood plus good quality international food), bars, banks etc (English speaking). The resort is superb for families, especially those with young children, as well as for those wanting to use Cala Bona as a base to explore the rest of Majorca. There are several 'Spa' supermarkets a few minutes walk from the apartment. As well as being a big golfing area, there is a tennis centre and numerous stables nearby. Cala Bona has a PADI dive centre/school and good local dives including sea caves.
Booking notes
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required on booking.
The balance is then due 2 months prior to departure.
A £100 refundable security deposit is also required with the final balance.

Hi, my name is Alison.
Following a holiday to Cala Bona with our new baby son, we decided to buy an apartment as we just knew we wanted to return! It really is a home from home, but unfortunately we now live too far away to visit as often as we would like! One of the things I loved best was that we could be on the beach from Bristol by lunchtime, or having a wonderful lunch at our favourite restaurant Paparazzi.
Most of our guests have been families with young children, like our own who are now 3 and 7, and many revisit year after year, which is lovely. We only advertise through Owners Direct, and have a local agent manage everything from key collection, cleaning, DIY and looking after our guests. Susanne really is a wonder-woman, just like having a personal hotel-rep for our guests!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought our penthouse apartment in Cala Bona as Cala Bona is a lovely family-friendly resort, and is easily accessible from Palma airport. You can be on the beach by lunchtime!
The apartment was particularly appealing as it is located right near the beach, and has lovely views of the mountains, particularly at night when you get brilliant sunsets.
Unique benefits of the property
The apartment is very convenient, being in the heart of Cala Bona and it is so easy to walk to the beach and beach-front promenade.
It has the benefit of a large roof for private sunbathing, big enough for 6 sun-loungers, as well as the terrace for outdoor dining overlooking the mountains.
However, the biggest advantage is that the apartment is fully managed for our guests. We have an agent based locally who is there to help our guests, meeting them on arrival, and can even arrange taxi transfers too and from Palma airport, which takes the stress out of holidaying in an apartment rather than a hotel.
