Property has been a popular choice for holidays for many years. Suitable for couples and families. A very quiet area, even in high season. Hotel nearby for drinks in the evening. Communal outdoor pool. Villa in a small select complex in Costa De La Calma, approx 10 minutes drive from Paguera, and Santa Ponsa. Hire car essential. Fully equipped kitchen, and BBQ terrace on top floor with sun loungers, table and chairs and bottle fridge as well as plenty of worktop space for cooking and preparation of food. The views from this villa are absolutely stunning, with the most amazing sunsets that can be viewed from both the lounge terrace, and the wonderful BBQ terrace.

Saturday is a preferred changeover day but this may be flexible. Arrival 14.00hrs and departure 10.00am.

Bedrooms: Both bedrooms with twin beds, larger bedroom two extra fold up beds.
Hairdryer available. Small terrace off each bedroom. Large fitted wardrobes in each bedroom. Storage wardrobes also housing a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.
Bathrooms: Both bedrooms en-suite, large bathroom has bath, walk-in shower and separate WC. and twin handbasins.
Smaller bathroom has walk-in shower WC and basin.
Both bathrooms having been completely renovated.
Kitchen: Kitchen has, electric oven and hob, large fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, table with bench type seating. There is also a pay telephone for use and this will of course accept incoming calls.
Utility Room: Washing machine, fold up clothes airer, sink, cleaning utensils (buckets, mop, sweeping brush) watering can.
Living Rooms: Lounge, dining area, with dining table and chairs, TV with some freeview channels, music system for cd's, three seater sofa and two armchairs, two table fans, Occasional tables nest of three. There is a large terrace off the lounge with tables and chairs.
Other: Spacious hallway, with marble steps leading down to bedrooms and bathrooms, and marble steps up to the very large sun terrace and BBQ area, with tables, chairs and sunloungers, BBQ area has tiled work surface and sink, plus small fridge for bottle storage

linen/maid service:
Cleaning done weekly, & linen & towels changed. Any extra cleaning is optional. *An extra charge of £50.00 is made for laundry for bookings less than seven nights & any more than 4 people.


Please note the freeview channels on the TV are in English.

Notes on accommodation
Rental periods are optional depending on availability, but we will try and be flexible where possible. Although the villa can take up to 6 people, 2 of the beds are fold up camp beds and only suitable for children. Please note all staircase steps are marble, there are no safety gates for very young children. There is air-conditioning in the bedrooms only, there are two table fans in the lounge, but terrace doors open completely to give a nice breeze.

The television has some freeview channels i.e BBC1 BBC2 BBC3 BBC4, ITV,Sky News, Channel 4. All channels are in english only.

When a booking is for more than four people an extra *£50.00 per week will be charged for laundry from January 2012. This also applies to bookings for less than a 7 night duration.

There is an information book in the villa with points of interest and various restaurant and cafe recommendations from past visitors. Maps of the island are also in the lounge area.

Accessibility
The property may be unsuitable for anyone in any way incapacitated or having general mobility problems, this is due to the marble staircase, plus a large flight of steps to access the outdoor swimming pool within the complex, and the fact that the area surrounding the villa is quite uneven. However some people have not been fazed by this and the area is a great choice for ramblers.

Outside
There are gardens surrounding the villa, kept in immaculate condition by the gardeners who tend to the variety of tropical plants and shrubs, the shared pool has communal sunloungers and tables. An A La Carte restaurant is within the complex and will usually be open during summer months.
The outdoor swimming pool within the complex has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, when using the pool, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The outdoor swimming pool is not heated. The hotel within the complex has an indoor swimming pool & fitness centre, which is open to non residents at a cost of around 20.00 euros per person per day.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach of Santa Ponsa is approx 10 minutes drive, and the Paguera beach with it's mile of golden sand is also 10 minutes drive, but many regular visitors to the villa have walked down to both beaches, which is approx 40 minutes walk.

Golf
A 10 minute drive to the Santa Ponsa golf course, and 15 minute drive to the Bendinat course. Even the furthest golf course on the island would never be more than an hours drive away. The main golf courses are all within a half hour drive, all courses would have hire facilities for clubs, but all usually require advance booking.

Travel
The property is approx 40 minute drive from the airport, and 25 minutes from the main shipping port. A hire car is, in my opinion, essential, but there have been visitors who have preferred to leave their driving licence at home and have a complete rest, using a taxi to stock up at the local supermarket on food for the duration of their stay. Taxi transfers can also be arranged from the airport if necessary.

Distances
Both Paguera And Santa Ponsa Are A Ten To 15 Minute Drive, Palma City Is approx 25 minute drive. The Port and village of Andraitx is a 15 to 20 minute drive, and the beautiful villages of Valldemossa and Deya are approx 45 minutes drive. The north of the island, such as the Port of Pollensa and the bay of Alcudia are approx 1 hour drive.

Further details
There are many types of restaurants within a 15 minute radius of driving. There is a also a buffet type restaurant in the hotel nearby for those who prefer to leave the car and just relax one evening. Walking down to nearby bustling resort of Santa Ponsa with a full range of bistro type and fast food restaurants is also recommended or you may prefer the more international type of restaurants in the nearby popular resort of Paguera, which now has the main centre all pedestrianised with the wonderful array of colourful cafe's, restaurants and bars.
The Port of Andraitx with the many fish restaurants is just a little further along the coast, whilst the City of Palma, approx 25 minute drive away, has the largest number of Tapa's bars on the Island along with shopping malls, department stores, boutiques, designer shops, not forgetting the very famous Cathedral, and the incredible architecture of the old quarters of Palma.

The rental period is usually saturday to saturday, any other day is dependent on availability. A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid eight weeks before arrival. Payment can be in pounds sterling cheque, bankers draft, euros, or cash payment to be arranged in advance.
