Porto Colom is the jewel in Mallorca's crown, a quiet, peaceful resort on the as yet unspoilt South East coast of the island. The harbour has a large marina and many large yachts and cruisers are based there each summer. There is a diving school and windsurfing school on the harbour and small boats can be hired by the day at the marina. The villa is in a quiet residential area yet close enough to walk to the harbour, beach and shops.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is on one level, (with 3 steps to front door) and is air conditioned. Gas central heating is available in April. The property is only available to families- no single sex groups. No smoking or pets allowed.

Outside
Outside there is a private pool (8m x 4m), an outside shower, a patio with a built-in bbq and also a portable gas BBQ too. There are sun loungers for 6 people on another large patio which gets the sun all day. Outside but attached to the conservatory, there is a roofed area with a dining table and chairs for alfresco dining for 6. There is also a separate clothes drying area. There are other patio areas at the front of the house too.
Coast/Beach
Cala Marsal is a sandy beach highly suitable for children with a safety patrol on duty each day and is only a 8 minute walk away. There are bars and restaurants on and near the beach. Pedalos can be hired on the beach.
Golf
Vall D'Or 18 hole golf course is only 4km away and is a good test of golf with stunning views from the tees and greens. Sera de Pula (venue of the Mallorcan Classic) is approx 40 mins away.Two sets of men's club and half set of lady's clubs plus trolleys available with the villa. Clubs, trolleys and buggies can also be hired from the golf course.
Travel
The airport is a 50 minute drive from Porto Colom. A car is not essential to enjoy a holiday in this villa but would greatly enhance your enjoyment of the area and enable you to explore the wonderful island of Mallorca.
Distances
Felanitx is the nearest big town (8km away). There is a large Sunday market there each week and a bus service runs there from Porto Colom. Further up the coast there are other tourist attractions. To the South, the lively resort of Cala d'Or, with its popular nightlife, is a 10 minute car/bus ride away.
Further details
Although Porto Colom is a small resort, it has a good variety of quality restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. There are 3 banks and 2 large supermarkets with a few small souvenir shops dotted here and there.
Booking notes
Please e-mail the owner to book or for other information. 50% deposit with the booking with the residue 6 weeks before departure. There is a refundable £200 breakage deposit to pay with the final payment.
