Casa Mia is one of four traditionally built houses within a few minutes walk from the village square. There are 5 restaurants and 3 bars/cafes within 5 minutes walk. Built in traditional Mallorcan stone, the house has been totally refurbished and provides 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms a large living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a small roof terrace with views to the mountains and village. From the living area there are glazed panel doors leading to a tiled terrace area with a large teak table and chairs and a private swimming pool (2.5m x 5m) There are wonderful views of the mountains and valley. Within about 10 minutes drive, at Port de Soller there are two beaches set across from each other in the bay, one of which, the Repic, is set in a pedestrian area and is therefore the quieter of the two. There are also beautiful coves at Deia and Valldemossa, both within 30 minutes drive.

Kitchen: Modern fully fitted kitchen with granite work tops, cooker, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave.
Utility Room: Washing machine.
Living Rooms: Sitting room with with 2 new sofas, LCD Satellite TV BBC,ITV,C4 etc. Dining room with iron/glass table and 6 chairs.
Other: The bedrooms have all been stylishly furnished to a high standard, with fitted wardrobes, and plenty of hanging and drawer space.

Linen and towels included (not beach towels). Prices are for the property per week. Cleaning and laundry is on a weekly basis and is charged at £20 per person per week, subject to minimum charge of £60.

Notes on accommodation
This house has been totally refurbished and newly furnished to a high standard. The property is situated within a few mins walk of Fornalutx village.There are 4 bars/cafes in the square and a further 6 restaurants all situated within 5-10 minutes walk.There are also beautiful coves at Deia and Valldemossa, both within 30 mins drive. The living area and 2 of the bedrooms benefit from wonderful views of the mountains and valley.

Outside
Glazed doors lead from the living area to the paved patio area, the perfect place to relax with its own private pool (2.5m x 5m) There are sun loungers and a teak dining table and chairs. In the evening it truly is a beautiful setting as the sun sets over the valley and mountains.

Coast/Beach
A 10 minute drive to the picturesque Port de Soller. Alternatively a 15 minute stroll to Soller, where you can take the tram to the port. There are two beaches set across from each other in the bay.There are 2 pedestrianised areas fronting the sea, where an abundance of restaurants/cafes and bars can be found. The repic side is the quieter of the two. Water skiing and boat hire is available. There are also beautiful coves at Deia and Valldemossa, both within 30 minutes drive.

Golf
There is a golf course within about 20 minutes drive.

Travel
Approx 30 mins to Palma International airport. Car hire can be arranged at favourable rates.

Distances
Situated in the beautiful village of Fornalutx, just a few mins walk from the square (supermarket, bars and restaurants). The historic town of Soller and Port de Soller are both within 10 mins drive. Each location provides a vast array of restaurants and bars. From Soller there is a tram to the port and beach and a picturesque train service to Palma. The city of Palma and the airport are a 30 min drive. Deia can be reached by car in 30 mins or less.

Booking notes
When you make your booking we require a 50% deposit of the rental charge, which will be forfeited if booking cancelled within 8 weeks of arrival date. If outside that period half will be refunded. Balance 2 weeks before arrival or by arrangement. Cancellations within 2 weeks of arrival date will be subject to 100% charge of rental.We advise you take out comprehensive travel insurance. A £150 fully refundable damagedeposit is required which will be refunded in full subject to no breakages/damage.

About the owner
Myself, wife and daughter lived on Mallorca for 9 months in 2003. We had a truly fabulous time, met some wonderful people, and have wonderful memories that will be with us for all our lives. The thought of heading home to UK was hell, and buying a house in the beautiful and friendly village of Fornalutx made leaving a little more bearable,giving us the feeling we still had roots in this little piece of paradise!
