Charming, original village house, carefully modernised maintaining original features. Simple, bright, airy and comfortable. Two living rooms, one bedroom set on four floors. (Like many Fornalutx houses, one must expect stairs.) Citrus and olive groves visible from the roof terrace provide delightful, easy walks. One minute from village plaza, all amenities and ancient stone staircases which encircle the village. More serious hiking nearby and guides can be arranged. Good beaches and excellent diving from Port of Soller and beyond. An excellent environment in which to be active or simply contemplate the landscape and take in the pure mountain air. Good Mallorquin cuisine available at local restaurants. The nearby town of Soller - ten minutes drive - provides a lively environment, innumerable shops, restaurants, several museums and a tram link to the port. An area of outstanding natural beauty, The Sierra Tramuntana and its environs have been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Living Rooms: Street level entrance adjacent to kitchen with sofa and two armchairs. Warm in winter - cool in summer. Additional third floor living room with panoramic view to mountains. Desk, four armchairs; original blue tiled floors.

The house is fully prepared upon arrival and for long stays is cleaned weekly. There is a one off, fifty euro cleaning and laundry fee.

Accessibility
The house is not appropriate for people with mobility problems due to the stairs.

Small roof terrace with plants and lovely wrap around views to hills and mountains. Dining table and chairs. Small fridge for wine and cold drinks. Discreet lights for evening use.

Coast/Beach
Fifteen minutes drive to Port of Soller, beaches and daily boats to neighbouring coves. Puerto Pollensa is 40 minutes drive. Nowhere on the island is more than one hour and a half from Fornalutx.

Forty minutes to Son Vida.

Travel
Palma Airport - 35 minutes.

Distances
Palma 35 mintues. There are regular train and bus connections. Deya 20 minutes by car. Valdemossa 45 minutes.

Further details
The house is one minute from the village plaza and the ancient stone staircases which encircle the village. Fornalutx has five bars and seven restaurants embracing good Mallorcan dishes, classical Mediterranean food and more adventurous nouvelle cuisine. There is also a pizzeria. There are two banks with cash dispensers. A chemist - comprehensively equipped and a small supermarket, likewise. An open air market for vegetables operates each Friday in the plaza.

A twenty per cent deposit is requested at the time of booking. The balance can be paid upon arrival in Fornalutx.
