Notes on accommodation
The garden with side entrance through electrically operated iron gates with answerphone in snug/study, make the house safe and secure for children. The stairway is wide with deep treads contained by magnificent carved wooden rail. There are interesting sight lines through out, including a medieval type internal window and door looking down into living room from master bedroom and corridor. Perhaps the most lovely feature is the flood lit double height exposed stone wall to the wooden beamed ceiling.

Outside
A private swimming pool positioned near huge palm tree. Two sides butting up to ancient stone walls. A large teak wood table under arched pergola seats 10 to 12 people. There is a barbecue and six comfortable loungers dotted around the lovely flower filled walled private garden. Th street infront of house is quiet and sleepy.
Coast/Beach
The house is a fifteen minute walk down an ancient donkey path, through olive groves, to the part sandy/rocky cove known as Cala Deia,with waterside restaurants where there are two restaurants on the water's. A five minute walk to village center for supplies, and first class restaurants. Backery serves fresh baked bread daily and all English newspapers. The mountains and sea offer wonderful walking, including a path that follows the beautiful coastline or over the mountain all the way to Soller.
Travel
Three quarters of an hour from Palma airport. As the house is close to Deia village amenities car hire not absolutely essential. Cars are available at airport or taxi service can be arranged to bring renters peacefully to the house and car hire can be arranged in Soller on arrival.
Distances
Deia is situated in the spectacular mountain range of the north west coast. Since Robert Graves came to live here in the thirties the amazing beauty has attracted and inspired artists from all over the world.
