Changeover day
Change over days are usually Saturdays but this may be flexible out of the main school holiday period. Guests must vacate by 10.00am and arrival not before 4.00pm to allow for cleaning.

Notes on accommodation
One car paking space is provided in the gated car park. Further free public car parking is available closeby.
Accessibility
The building is built into the rock so although it is on the second floor it is down 7 steps from the car park level. However a new lift has been installed which gives access from car park level down to apartment level. All internal floors are marble, and the two main bathrooms have walk in showers. Internal doorways unfortunately not adapted for wheelchair use.
Outside
The complex has its own private pool for sole use by the residents. Ample sun loungers are provided as well as toilet and shower facilities. Gardens are maintained by the in house staff. This is private access to the rocks/sea from the pool area.
Coast/Beach
The beach of Illetas can be accessed via our private path or via the wide pathway alongside the road. There are no roads to cross and so is ideal for children.
Golf
This apartment must be the best choice for golfers and their 'widows'. Golfing is at its best outside the main holiday months when the heat and sun can be a bit much to play in. From September through to May the weather is just right and even in December it can be like a UK spring day. Whilst the players are enjoying any of the many courses nearby the partners can indulge in some retail therapy in Palma, a short Taxi or bus ride away or soak up some winter sun on the stunning balcony. The partners will not miss you! The famous 'Real Golf de Bendinat', golf course is a 5 minute drive away. This challenging and surprisingly hilly and picturesque course will test any level of player. Full clubhouse facilities available including driving range, clubhouse. One set of clubs is available with the apartment. Bring your shoes and balls! Many other courses are nearby and can be looked at on the internet. 'T' times at Bendinat can be sought after and booking prior to trip is recommended.
Special interest holidays
A full PADI sub aqua training school is located at Illetas beach. Mallorca has almost unending possibilities for special interests from horse riding, mountain walking, water parks, sailing etc etc all available nearby.
Travel
Palma international airport which has connections to almost every airport in Europe, is only a 20 minute drive away. Car hire whilst recommended for convenience and sightseeing is not essential. Taxis available from the airport cost around 25 Euros or buses run every 15 minutes or so to Illetas. Almost every car hire company has a office at the airport so you have unlimited choice.
Distances
Palma city is only a short taxi ride or bus ride away. Buses cost apporx 2 euros to the centre. Palma has everything a city should have. Fabulous cathedral, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Amazing port area with jogging/cycle track along the promenade. Sightseeing open top buses tour the city from the harbour to get your bearings. The nearby port of Puerto Portals is a short drive/taxi distance away with its multi million pound yachts, fabulous restaurants and glitzi clientele.
Further details
A small supermarket is located within 200 yrds. Further larger supermarkets are within a 5 minute drive. 5 restaurants are within walking distance and many more are within a short drive. Some restaurants at the beach do close between October and March, but at the port and Palma they are busy all year.
Booking notes
A deposit of £500 is payable on booking. The remainder is payable 4 weeks prior to trip together with refundable £300 to cover repairs/breakages. This will be refunded by cheque after vacating and checking by my housekeeper.

Maggie and Stuart McGowan, from Warwickshire have owned this property for 4 yrs. They run a small aesthetics business and this is their second home, which they try to get out to, as often as they can.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought on Mallorca, because it is such a fabulous underated place. Its only 2hrs from our local airport and we can get flights all year round. The flights can be very cheap if booked well in advance. The South West of the Island is the best place to be. Close but not too close to the airport. I like to be in the apartment within 20minutes, not a 1 hr drive. The SW is busy all year round. There are some fabulous golf courses which are best played in the winter, when its like a UK spring. The city of Palma is great for shopping and wandering around. There are so many pavement bars and restaurants and the atmosphere is so great and safe. Because of the tourist spots like Maggaluf and Pollensa, they create a great infrastructure, like frequent bus service on the Island and so many flights.
Unique benefits of the property
We have to pinch ourselves sometimes to believe we own such a property. The location is just so stunning. Dining on the balcony at night with friends is just magical with the moon shimmering on the sea. Days are lazy. Bit of breakfast on the terrace, watching the coming and goings of the many boats that moor between us and the small Island just opposite. Then it 'T' shirt, shorts and flip flops and a short wander down to the beach. Bit of a swim. Maybe lunch at one of the little bars, another swim and then back for a cool drink and a snooze on the terrace. Evenings we get a little dressed up and head down to the port for a stroll and a fantastic meal at one of the many restaurants. We haven't tried them all yet. Back for coffee on the terrace. Another hard day !
