The JKL House is situated in the lovely old village of Santanyi, which has been the municipal centre of South East Mallorca since 1300. This charming village house with character (2 up/2 down with a small courtyard and little balcony with views across the rooftops of the village) has been lovingly restored by a heritage builder to a little luxury apartment inside. It is newly furnished and fully equipped. Most importantly, it is a genuine and friendly village environment, suitable for year round activities. Palma airport - 40 mins. Santanyi has a beautiful and lively village square where there is an excellent and fun market twice weekly all year round and a beautiful old church with an antique organ played during summer market time. The village provides bakeries, shops, restaurants, cafes, tapas bars, art galleries, ceramic workshops, antiques and craft shops, boutiques and all amenities. Under 10 minutes to wonderful beaches. Close to good golf.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. £75 security deposit. 15% discount for 2 people only. 15% discount for 2nd week (except in high season). Extra days can be considered if house is available. Special prices for longer lets. Shorter lets (min 4 days) if available. Please take into account additional 70 (for full house) 60 (for just 2 people) euros in cash to Housekeeper when collecting key on arrival for mandatory end clean/linen wash.

Changeover day
Thursdays, Saturdays or Sundays preferred; we will try and be flexible to accommodate your wishes particularly for longer lets. Please leave by 10.00am and do not arrive until after 3.00pm unless otherwise agreed.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: The 2 small bedrooms are simply furnished with new beds and built in wardrobes. 1 has a Queen bed and opens onto little balcony, the other has 2 singles. Both have air-conditioning and heating.
Bathrooms: There is joint access from bedrooms to upstairs bathroom which consists of bath, shower, wc, and separate connected washbasin room. Downstairs has extra wc and washbasin.
Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen with grill, oven/ceramic top, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, casual seating, opens onto lovely courtyard ideal for all summer meals.
Utility Room: Washing machine is in utility cupboard in kitchen. Other equipment includes oil filled electric heaters downstairs and heating / aircon upstairs, de-humidifier, vacuum cleaner and iron/ironing board.
Living Rooms: Satellite UK TV, DVD box, comfortable seating, dining for 6, very private and cosy when shutters are closed.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bed linen and 2 towels p/p are provided. Please bring beach towels. Mandatory end clean requires you give Housekeeper 70/50 euros cash on arrival. If staying 2nd week please agree with housekeeper time of free linen change and cleaning (at your expense).

Notes on accommodation
Staircase: Typically Mallorquin open staircase makes house unsuitable for very young children or elderly with walking problems.

If breakages occur, please tell the Housekeeper, and if serious the cost will be retained from the damage deposit.

Accessibility
House, which has easy wheelchair access to street, has been used by wheelchair user who was able to manage the stairs.

Outside
Small but charming courtyard - lovely for outdoor eating with lounger, parasol, table and chairs and hidden washing lines. Direct access from kitchen. Little balcony with winter sun and view of village and church.

Coast/Beach
Obviously we consider Mallorca’s best beach to be Cala Llombards. Cala Santanyi has more tourist attractions in summer – both are within 10 minutes drive. Cala D’or with a marina, tourist shops, night spots and beaches 20 minutes away. Likewise Colonia de San Jordi – lovely seafood restaurants in the harbour in summer.

Golf
Vall D'or Golf Course 20 minutes and Pula 50 minutes.
La Rotana and Son Servera (9 holes only) - closer.

Travel
Palma airport is 40 minutes away, the lovely old town of Palma just 15 minutes further. The island has motorway coverage 20 minutes from the house.
Car hire is recommended but not absolutely essential as there is regular bus service to airport and Palma in summer, infrequent in winter. HIPER rent a car has always been very reliable. Fax: +34 971 826 293

Distances
The house is under 10 minutes drive (or bicycle ride) of some of the best beaches on Mallorca, down lovely winding country roads bordered with stone walls, is 25 minutes from the famous 12km Es Trenc beach and close to excellent golf courses. There are lots of lovely drives and walks in the area and good traffic connections all over the island.

Further details
The village provides bakeries, shops, cafes, tapas bars, art galleries, ceramic workshops, antiques and craft shops, boutiques and all amenities , even a supermarket on the ring road.

Booking notes
In order to reserve, 25% deposit must be paid within one week and remaining payment latest 8 weeks before arrival. Damage deposit £75 required at that time will be returned by cheque soonest after your visit.
