Notes on accommodation
Al Bustan is a beautiful villa, fully equipped and with air-conditioning to master suite and ceiling fans to other rooms.
Accessibility
The house is situated in a very peaceful and private road. As the ground floor of the villa is on one level it would be suitable for old and young alike.
Outside
The villa is set in beautiful well kept gardens with many mature shrubs and colourful Mediterranean plants. The garden is managed by an automatic irrigation system. Set within extensive terracing is a large rectangular shape mosaic swimming pool (approx 10x4 and 1-2m deep)with roman steps and a ladder to the deep end. The pool can be heated with an extra cost of £150 per week. There is also an outside shower. To the rear of the garden is miles of countryside which ensures full privacy whilst sunbathing. There is an excellent barbecue sun beds, umbrellas and table and chairs for alfresco dining. The covered terrace provides comfortable outside seating with cane armchairs with cushions and drinks table.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful sandy beach of Cala en Porter is within 5 minutes drive and there are many more outstanding, beaches, some isolated, worthy of a visit within a short drive.
Travel
Mahon airport is just 5 minutes drive away, a car is recommended to enjoy the island to its fullest and to give greater choice of shops and beaches.
Distances
The lovely Menorquin village of Sant Climent is approximately two minutes drive, ten minutes walk. This typical Spanish village caters for all needs. Excellent supermarket, butchers, patisserie, banks, bars, well regarded tapas bar and live jazz playing during the Summer months. Larger wholesale supermarkets are available just 5 minutes drive.
Further details
For the sports minded tennis courts are nearby and an the golf course at Son Parc is just half hours drive. Menorca is a small island with more beautiful beaches than any other place in the Med and is the ideal place to snorkel, scuba dive and for watersports. The capital of Mahon has regular weekly markets in the centre and an old fish and vegetable market are worth a visit near the harbour. There are many restaurants and bars in the town and along the harbour.
