Changeover day
Fridays in high summer, though we are flexible. Normal departure time is 10am with the apartment available from 4pm.

Ideal for peaceful break as a base for walking and exploring the island - or just enjoying the brilliant view from your patio.
Accessibility
The apartment, while ground floor and all on one level, is accessed by steps from the communal gardens.
Outside
Superb sea views across the bay to opposite hills (fantastic sunsets) from patio set in attractive communal gardens with flowers, shrubs, palm trees and water features. Patio furniture and loungers available.
Coast/Beach
Our jolly local beach is ten minutes walk away while there are any number of beautiful beaches within easy driving range (it rarely takes longer than 30 minutes to get anywhere else on the island even in high season). For secluded beaches try the Tirant lighthouse road or for more lively resort beaches try nearby Arenal - and Cala Galdana is always worth the drive.
Golf
Golf can be found at Son Parc, a 20 minute drive away.
Travel
Mahon Airport is an easy 25-minute drive from the apartment. While we would recommend car hire to make the most of your holiday you can get about on the very decent local bus services.
Distances
We are five minutes drive from beautiful Fornells with its harbour, cafes and restaurants (and you can walk there in around 40 minutes). Our nearest town is Mercadel which has an excellent supermarket (about ten minute drive) but there are also good supermarkets open in Playa de Fornells itself between May and October.
Further details
We love the friendly local restaurants which are always cheerful and just a couple of minutes walk away. And we really recommend a trip to see Maria and Joseph at the 'half way house' (real name Sa Dolce) where you can have a drink and a light bite and meets lots of interesting people. We have a full welcome pack which includes all our top tips on making the most of your stay (shopping, eating out, beaches, places to see etc) and we have a management team on site to ensure your stay is comfortable.
Booking notes
Your booking will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of 20 per cent. The balance is payable six weeks before departure.

Hi, here's Liz and Brian in typical Menorca pose - enjoying food and drink on our patio with its fantastic views. We absolutely love the apartment, we chose it for those views and the fact that it is in one of the best spots on what is a fantastic island. We've been coming here for 20 years, originally when our two girls were little.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We like to chill out here because it is such a peaceful spot and we like the fact that you can get in the car and be absolutely anywhere else on the island within about 30 minutes. Nearby Fornells is a great spot for eating or just having a coffee and watching the boats (and the people). Playa Fornells itself is super, too, as on the nights you don't feel like driving there are enough bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Best of all worlds really.
Unique benefits of the property
It's strange but people with bigger properties love coming and sitting outside our place as it's so quiet and the views are just fantastic.
