Both apartments are located in the community of Los Tamarindos where you can relax in a peaceful setting of well-kept gardens and enjoy the lovely views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding landscape. The pictures above show apartment 312 on the top floor (central) and the communal pool from the apartment's front door. To complete a booking, an initial deposit of 25% is payable and the balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival.

Notes on accommodation
These apartments are well equipped and furnished to a high standard, as described above. Both properties including a washing machine and LCD television. There is a communal car park at Los Tamarindos (no charge).
The properties are managed local agents whose offices are 10 minutes walk from the apartment and are open most working days. The Agent's mobile number is provided for matters of urgency or emergency.

Accessibility
Both apartments are on the top floor and only accessible by stairs. Unfortunately, it is not accessible by wheelchair and there is no lift available.

Outside
Playas de Fornells comprises many communities including Los Tamarindos. It offers bars, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, the majority of which are within 15/20 minutes walk of the apartment. There are beautiful communal gardens and a sun terrace.

Coast/Beach
The nearest sandy beach is at Tirant, about 15 minutes walk. This is a safe beach, ideal for children.

Los Tamarindos is by the sea and it is possible to walk along the rocky coastline to Fornells (about 45 minutes). Please note, it is not advisable to do this walk in darkness. A taxi service is available from Fornells.

Golf
Son Parc Golf Club is an 18-hole course, about 6 miles/9 kms away and driveable in 15 minutes. It is the only course on the island and is open to non-members.

Travel
Menorca has an international airport near Mahon. There are flights to Menorca from numerous airports in the U.K. and Spain. There are also flights from other locations in Europe.

It is advisable to hire a car for some or all of your stay and there are numerous car hire companies available. The apartment is about 30 minutes drive to/from Menorca airport, Mahon and Ciutadela.

There is a public bus service from Playas de Fornells to Fornells, Es Mercadal and Mahon.

Further details
The fishing village of Fornells offers numerous shops, tapas bars and restaurants, as well as a bank and bakery. Boats can be hired to enjoy even more of this beautiful island. Fornells is a centre for water sports, including diving, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing and windsurfing.
Menorca offers an abundance of sea-side resorts mostly with sandy beaches, etc. Additional activities available include cycling and horse riding. Menorca has been designated by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve.
