The lemon tree apartment is newly refurbished to a very high standard, with stylish decor, fixtures and fittings. It is accessible by its own gate and front door. It is surrounded by pretty gardens and private seating areas. The living area is open plan and has large sliding glass doors out on to the poolside terrace. The terrace, pool and bbq are private and only shared occaisionally with the friendly owners who will be happy to share their knowledge on local attractions and places of interest, however your privacy will be greatly respected. The apartment is superbly located, as it is in the quiet, very Spanish, residential area of Santa Ana, yet ony a stones throw from the lively picturesque harbour of Cales Fonts. The historic capital Mahon is only a 20 mins walk and some of the best beaches are only a short drive away.

Changeover day
The changeover day is flexible. Entry into the apartment is available after 2.30pm on the day of arrival. Guests are asked to depart by 10.30am on day of departure, again this may be flexible depending on the arrival and departure of other guests.

Towels and linen are provided and changed on a weekly basis. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival and cleaned on your departure. If you would like the property to be cleaned during your stay this will incurr an additional charge. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is part of owners villa. It is accessed by a separate gate and front door. There are secluded seating areas at the rear of the apartment and underneath the olive tree for the sole use of guests. The poolside terrace and garden is shared only occasionally with the friendly owners and their two children. They are very happy to share their local knowledge, however they also appreciate your need for privacy and this will be greatly respected. They feel that the apartment would not be suitable for children under the age of 7/8. All children must be supervised at all times. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

Accessibility
Although the apartment is on the ground floor it has a few steps into the garden and the apartment entrance so would therefore not be suitable for wheel chair access.
Outside
The apartment is accessed through its own private gate which opens into a private garden for the sole use of apartment guests. There are comfortable seating areas both at the rear of the apartment and a shady spot under the olive tree. The pretty cottage garden extends up the side of the property and leads to private entrance and then on to the pool area. The pool, terrace, and bbq may also be accessed by the large glass sliding doors from the apartment. Just outside these doors is a relaxing chill out area under the shade of the lemon tree, where you can enjoy breakfast, or relax with a cool drink. During the evening as darkness falls, the garden lights up with twinkling lights in the lemon tree, and atmospheric lighting around the garden, all of which is controlled within the apartment. Sun loungers are also available for your use.
Coast/Beach
The harbour of Cales Fonts is a 3-4min walk away with the smaller cove of Cala Corb a 10 min walk. There is also a small bay, Cala Padera, which is suitable for swimming and has sunbathing terraces, this is a 5 min walk. Slightly further along the coast, the pretty cove of San Esteve can be reached by a 30 min walk.
Golf
The 18 hole golf course at Son Parc is approx a 25 min drive away.
Special interest holidays
The apartment is located close to coastal areas and countryside and is ideal for walking, fishing and cycling. There are many cycle routes locally and mountain bikes can be hired close by with guided excursions available.
Travel
Mahon airport is a 10 min drive. The taxi fare is usually around 20 euros. Menorca is such a beautiful island we would recommend car hire for at least a couple of days, although it is not essential as once at the apartment shops, banks, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. The local transport is easily accessible, with buses into Mahon every half hour, from there further buses are available to virtually anywhere on the island. There is also a water taxi to the port of Mahon.
Distances
The apartment is very close to all amenities. The centre of Es Castell is a 5 min walk. Mahon and its port are a 20-25 min walk or a 5-10 min car journey.
Further details
Local shops include, small supermarkets, bakers, fruit shops, gift shops, post office, banks, bars, cafes and restaurants. The military museum is located in the village esplanada and Fort Marlborough can be found on the walk down to San Esteve. Glass bottomed boats run twice daily from Cales Fonts which take you on a tour of Mahon harbour. Further boat excursions are available from the Port of Mahon, which is a very lively port, full of bars, restaurants and shops.

A non-refundable deposit of 20% must be paid at the time of booking, with the full balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival.
