Our house offers 4 comfortable bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and separate laundry room. Lounge/diner has an airy high beamed ceiling and is equipped with satellite TV/DVD, comfy sofas and log burner. It opens onto a beautiful covered terrace overlooking the private salt-water pool. The pool is fully fenced to ensure safety for children but with 2 sets of double gates, can be opened up for easy access. The garden has a mixture of palm, olive and fruit trees with lawn and flowering hibiscus and bougainvillea. The villa sits on a quiet road 2 minutes walk from the restaurants in the village. A cycle-path along the coast connects Ses Salines to the fishing village Fornells where further restaurants, shops and bars can be found as well as water sports facilities including windsurfing, sailing, scuba-diving and kayaking. Nearest beach is 5 minutes away in Playas de Fornells, a beautiful resort providing excellent bars and restaurants. A perfect setting for a family holiday.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is ideally suited to families with the emphasis on safety and space. We are happy to provide children's DVDs, books, board games and outdoor toys eg scooters, sit-ons, pool inflatables. There is a charming wooden play house in the garden, complete with wooden kitchen. A cot and high chair and are also available. The master bedroom and double room has air-conditioning and fans are also provided.

Accessibility
This property is constructed over ground floor level only and would be suitable for wheelchair users and young children alike. There is off-street parking on the drive and the garden is level. Inside there is one small step into the laundry room and outside,at the back of the house there are steps leading down to the pool pump and storage area, there is however a gate with a bolt.

Secluded garden surrounded by dry stone walls. Lawn, terraces and new 8 metre saline pool surrounded by both grass and terrace. Outdoor shower. BBQ, Covered terrace with high quality outdoor dining furniture and teak sun loungers. Off street parking. Palm trees, lemon tree.

Coast/Beach
The villa is less than a minutes walk to the sea, where many boating, sailing and windsurfing activities take place. Cala Tirant in Playas de Fornells is the nearest beach, only 5 minutes by car, it is a beautiful beach ideal for families. Further along the north coast are a number of virgin beaches only 20-30 minutes by car. There is a jetty in Ses Salines which can be used to swim off and a few beaches across the bay which can be accessed by boat or kayak, available to hire in Fornells.

Golf
18 hole golf course at Son Parc, a ten minute drive.

Travel
Mahon International (MAH) is the only airport in Menorca. It is only 30 minutes driving time from Ses Salines. Car hire is recommended, although a good bus service operates throughout the island and reliable taxis are available locally.
There are ports in Mahon and Cuitadella where ferries regularly travel to and from Barcelona and Mallorca.

Distances
Fornells is the nearest village, approx 1 mile away. Mercadal is a market town in the centre of the island and is about 5 miles away. It has bigger supermarkets than the villages and numerous others shops and restaurants. Mahon and Cuitadella are the largest towns and are both about 25-30 minutes drive away.

Further details
Ses Salines has a small village shop selling essentials including fresh bread and croissants. For further supplies both Fornells and Mercadal have banks, chemists and supermarkets. We are happy to leave recommendations for restaurants, bars, places of interest and leisure activities.

Booking notes
We will confirm your booking by email and ask for a 20% deposit to secure your booking. The remainder will be payable 8 weeks before arrival along with a 200 Euros deposit for breakages, refunded on your departure.
