Distant views of the mountains. There are numerous golf courses nearby the closest only 10 minutes.15 minutes from the historic city of Palma. Very centrally situated so ideal for exploring the beautiful island of Mallorca. The nearest beach Playa de Palma is 20 minutes. The beautiful beaches of the north are only 25-30 minutes. The garden and pool is floodlit and a more peaceful and relaxing setting to have a meal or a glass of wine would be hard to find. Many different types of restaurants in the near vicinity from tapas to the upmarket. The walks in the nearby mountains are breathtaking. Palma can be easily reached by car or train.

Notes on accommodation
Heating and AC. Accommodation is all one one level. No steps. English and Spanish television.
Ac has now been added to every bedroom.
Accessibility
It has not been adapted for wheelchairs but as it is bungalow accommodation and on the flat it would be good for disabled or anyone with mobility problems.

Pool 12 metres length. Outdoor furniture includes seating area, table chairs and sunloungers.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach Playa de Palma 20 minutes.
Alcudia 25 minutes.
Most of Mallorca's beaches can be reached within 25 minutes except for the East coast which would be 40.
Golf
Mallorca has golf courses to suit all tastes and budgets and is becoming a migration for golf players in the north of Europe who can't play golf in thier own country from October to April because of bad weather. There are 18 golf courses open to non members. You could spend a three week holiday and play a different course every day. The nearest golf course to us is Golf park Puntiro which is a ten minute drive. Son Gual if 15 minutes.The following are within 25 minutes. Son Antem, Maioris golf, Santa Ponsa, Andratx golf club, Beninat Golf, Son Muntaner, Son Vida, Son Termens. Due to the central location of our house you would be hard pushed to find a more central location for a variety of different courses to suit all abilities. Further information on individual courses can be found on Google.

Palma airport is 15 minutes.
We consider car hire essential and due to availability problems in 2009 we suggest that a car is booked at the same time as booking the house.
Distances
Alaro is a very quaint mountain village and is 10 minutes.
Palma Cathedral. One of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world. 15 minutes.
Valdemossa the most beautiful mountain village and the home of Robert Graves. 20 minutes.
Porto portals is the jet setting marina and is great for people watching is 20 minutes.
Porto Andriatx lots of good restaurants and great atmosphere 20 minutes.
Es trench. In my opinion the best beach on the island 40 minutes.
Further details
The house has all new beds, bedding and towels. The condition inside and out is excellent.
Santa Maria has shops, supermarkets and a bank. Excellent market worth a visit on a Sunday. Al Campo which is a large shopping complex is 5 minutes by car. Festival park is 10 minutes by car and is a factory outlet plus cinema complex and wide choice of eating places. Alaro castle is 10 minutes by car and is a typical Spanish village with lots of character. The famous lamb restaurant is just above Alaro and is well worth a visit.
If you feel active then with out doubt our house is centrally situated and all the main attractions and beaches are easily acccesible however this is a chill out house and once quests arrive they tend not to venture very far and spend their days relaxing in the tranquil surrounding. Its such a socialable house that its just so easy use the fantastic barbeque facilites open a bottle of wine, and just relax. Which is what most of our guests did in 2009.
Booking notes
Deposit is required £200, balance is due 8 weeks before departure with £300 refundable deposit. During busy times we may ask you to check in after 1400 and depart by 10 in the morning.

About the owner
We have three boys ages 21, 15 and 10. We prefer the unspoilt areas in Mallorca.
We have had our house on the island for 7 years and are constantly finding new things to see and do. The island is fantastic for cycling, water sports, horse riding , golf shopping and sightseeing. Mallorca has many unspoilt corners to explore and enjoy. With some of the best beaches in Europe this island has something for everyone.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
we bought our beautiful home to live in in October 2007 Unfortunately due to work commitments and our childrens education we are not able to make this move at the moment. We very much enjoy spending as much time as possible on the fabulous island of Mallorca. We made the decision to let other people experience our home and everything the surrounding area has to offer.
Santa Maria is a Spanish village where the locals make you welcome and you soon feel part of the community.
The word home is very important and we are continually upgrading and making improving to give it the wow factor. The comments made by many is that the pictures on the website do not do it justice and that its the best villa they have ever stayed in.
Unique benefits of the property
This is a country location set in a private area yet is only 15 minutes from the centre of Palma.
The house is fantastic winter and summer. Fully ac in the summer. we have just added fans to the terrace to ensure that in the heat of the summer a meal can be enjoyed in comfort. In winter the house is lovely and warm with central heating and a real fire.
The house is very spacious with separate guest accommodation which means that its ideal for two families or grandparents.
