A traditional, 19th century Mallorquin stone house with large dining room, sitting room, wide terrace with marble tables for summer dining and spectacular views. Ca'n Reus is one of the most beautiful houses in the Soller valley. Well equipped kitchen and BBQ on the terrace. Sun loungers and deckchairs in pool area. Situated on the edge of the village, the views of the mountains of the Sierra Tramuntana are uninterrupted and spectacular. There are many walks through the mountains, olive groves, citrus trees and neighbouring villages. The village square and its 6 restaurants and 3 bars are all a couple of minutes' walk from the house. There is a village shop that supplies all your needs. The sandy beach of Porto Soller is only 7 minutes' drive away. The town of Soller is 8 minutes' drive or a 30 minute walk away, from where you can take the 1918 tram down to the sea or the equally historic little train to Palma for sightseeing and shopping.

Accessibility
The house is situated down a narrow, cobbled street - i.e. there is no on-street parking. There are 3 large village car parks within 2 minutes' walk. The house has not been adapted for wheelchairs. For those with walking difficulties, there is a room at the bottom of the house with only 4 steps to access it and another 4 steps to access the terrace.
Outside
There is a spectacular terrace with tables, chairs, a couple of benches and one of the best mountain views in Europe. There is a modern, gas fired BBQ. The garden is grass with orange and grapefruit trees and the pool is seven meters by four. There are ample deck chairs, sun loungers and pool towels available.
Coast/Beach
The nearest sandy beach is 7 minutes' drive away, at Porto Soller. The sandy beaches of Can Vincente are 35 minutes' drive away. For a rocky, secluded beach, Cala Tuent is a 40 minute, spectacular mountain drive away.
Golf
Some of Spain's best golf courses are within an easy drive (nothing is far in Mallorca!). The nearest and one of the best - Son Termans, is just 20 minutes drive away.
Travel
Fornalutx is 35 minutes' drive from Palma Airport. We would recommend hiring a car in order to access the many beaches and points of interest on the island.
Distances
The house is in the village of Fornalutx and 8 minutes' drive from the nearby town of Soller which has a vibrant Saturday morning market, tram connection to the beach and a train to Palma. There is an Eroski supermarket in Soller and a covered market offering fresh fish daily, meat and vegetables. The town has a wealth of shoe shops, bars, restaurants and, most importantly, a square which is filled with bars and people day and night.
