The apartments are situated within a 5/10 minute walk from the centre of the very attractive market town of Soller with it's main square, shops, cafes and restaurants. There is an indoor market every day except Sunday where you can buy local fruit,vegetable,fish and meat. Every Saturday the market expands into the surrounding streets and squares hosting numerous stalls selling everything from antiques to clothes and handicrafts. The whole area is incredibly beautiful with orange and lemon groves set against the backdrop of the rugged Tramuntana mountains. Soller is an ideal place to enjoy a wide range of activities or just relax and chill out.
Not to be missed is the famous old wooden train that rattles between Soller and the capital Palma several times a day and euphemistically known as the 'Orange Valley Express' it takes an hour to do what the modern bus does in 30 minutes.
From Soller you can also take the San Francisco tram down to the Port of Soller which is located round a horseshoe shaped bay with sandy beaches,yacht marina and many excellent bars,cafes,shops and restaurants. You can take a trip round the coast on one of the passenger boats or just hire a canoe or pedalo and explore the bay. Facing NW the port is an ideal place to sit and have a quiet drink whilst watching a gorgeous Mediterranean sunset. A good local transport system connects Soller to local towns like Deia and Valldemossa and Palma.

Had a fantastic stay in Soller with our baby. We were picked up from the airport with a car seat for the baby and even a toy to keep him entertained! The apartment was gorgeous - really nicely done with views of lemon trees from the kitchen window and an amazing roof terrace with 360 views of the mountains. The owners were really friendly. Soller was a lovely chilled little town where
you feel like you see the real Mallorca and there are gorgeous mountain villages very easily accessible. There's a great square in the town where grown ups sit around the edge supping beer and eating tapas and the kids play in the middle. Lisa & Jake Roberts May 2009.
