Villa El Mirador is located about 10 minutes drive from the Airport. Canutells is set on the South side of the Island, on the coast and has a very picturesque Cala of it's own,where a restaurant can be found giving you the most spectacular views. Very conveniently only about 5km from the village of San Clemente where you will find bars, restaurants, banks and an excellent supermarket. It is a very spacious villa surrounded by a large terrace which is now accessible by our wheelchair/pram ramp. Fully lawned areas were all the family can relax. 8 Sunloungers are provided for you to relax during the long hot summer days. The property also boasts a solar heated pool for all the family to enjoy. Alfresco dining can be taken on either the upper terrace table and chairs in the warmth of the sun or alternatively in the shade under the large pergola area which also commands a large charcoal BBQ. There is also a safety deposit box for which a key shall be provided at no extra cost.

Changeover day is Flexible. You can gain entrance after 2pm and you will have to vacate by 10am on departure day.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
This Villa is fully equipped and will provide you with all your home comforts. It is very spacious and furnished to a very high standard. We have unlimited broadband internet so for those who cannot live without your computers please bring your laptop along. We have ceiling fans in all rooms including bedrooms to keep you cool throughout the long hot summer nights. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have patio doors leading to the pool terrace which can also be accessed by our wheelchair/pram ramp. In the garden there is a place for everyone to enjoy, you can soak up the sun on one of the sunbeds, sit in the shade and read a book or take in the scenery with a cool refreshing drink while the children take advantage of the play area and solar heated pool. Inside the Villa you shall find a large selection of Books, Jig saws, various board games and various music CD's and DVD's including childrens disney films.

Accessibility
There are two small steps down from the villa onto the terrace.

Outside
In our opinion pool safety is paramount we have introduced the 'turtle pool system' you are supplied with 3 x wrist bands which key lock onto your childrens wrist as soon as the band comes into contact with water the base alarm is activated giving you instant alert. Giving you more peace of mind in the protection of your children, do remember though that it is not a replacement for parent vigilance. This villa is set in approx 1200 metres of land and has a very large garden, plenty of space for all to relax. There is a lovely sized solar heated swimming pool for private use. There is a lawned area which is suitable for children with a large slide, small slide, see saw and children's table and chairs and various outdoor toys. BBQ area with a very large table and benches set under a large pergola. There is also a further table and chairs set on the upper terrace which will give you lovely views out to the sea. There are 8 reclining sunbeds for you to relax and enjoy the sun.

Coast/Beach
It is approx a 5 minute walk to the beaches of Canutells. You will find 1 sandy beach, ideal for small children and 1 rocky beach and there you will also find a beach bar/restaurant. Alternatively you can travel to larger beaches (Son Bou), where water sports and banana boats can be found.

Travel
The Villa 'El Mirador' is located about 10 minutes drive from the airport (Taxi cost would be about 15 euros). San Climent is about 5 minutes drive from Canutells. Car hire is not essential but it would enable you to explore the beautiful Island of Menorca and visit some of the fantastic beaches and places of interest. You can hire a car from the airport or if you just wanted one for a couple of days this can be done at the hotel complex in Cala Canutells.

Distances
Your nearest supermarket is a 2 minute walk to the Spar at the hotel complex. There is a larger and well stocked Spar shop in San Climent where you will find everything you could possibly need for your holiday. Mahon is about 10 minute drive from the villa. There is a local bus service into the Capital Mahon on a daily basis.

We feel that if you do book your holiday with us we do offer you a more personal service, this is because we do live on the Island and therefore in the unlikely event you do encounter any problems you have our home telephone numbers as a point of contact we are with you ASAP and you shall not be relying on a Villa Management Company especially at week ends when most close down. Booking notes
A 25% deposit (non refundable) is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid 10 weeks before departure. A free cot and high chair are available upon request.
