The house sits at the top end of the coastal road with stunning views over the bay of Cala'n Porter. The property has it's own private swimming pool (8.5 metres long), surrounded by pretty flower beds which include Bougainvillea and many other plants and shrubs. Huge sun-bathing terrace with plenty of sun beds. Also adjacent, smaller extremely sunny terrace with Menorcan style BBQ. There are further terraces on the first and second floors of the property, the second floor terrace having the most stunning views of Cala'n Porter and the bay. On a clear day you can see the Tramuntana Mountain range in Mallorca, the next island and the amazing sunsets each evening. The resort itself is 15 minutes drive from Mahon the capital and airport and has a variety of popular bars and restaurants, excellent supermarket, butcher, baker and banking services. Wonderful bay, safe for children, 2 excellent beach bars open all day long, serving local ‘Tapas’ or Paella.

Living Rooms: Lounge and split level dining room, satellite TV, music centre, DVD.
Other: The house is designed on 2 floors...3 bedrooms & 2 baths on the ground floor and one bedroom/ensuite upstairs..this is accessed thro a private area off the lounge and is very popular with the grandparents. From lounge there is access to the roof terrace.

linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are provided in the property and changed once a week. There is a good mixed selection of more than 100 paperbacks in the master bedroom, for holiday reading, so no need to bring your own books.

Notes on accommodation
The house has a couple of short flights of stairs inside and also out to the pool area, therefore it is not suitable for elderly people with mobility problems and does not have wheelchair access.

Outside
Big terrace adjacent to the pool,, with dining table. Plenty of sunbeds also. Menorquin style BBQ. Nearby clothes drying area. Umbrellas or sun canopy. Also umbrellas for you to take to the beach are in the house, so you won't have the extra expense of hiring them! We supply the necessary essentials to start your holiday..ie. tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bottled water, juice etc.

Coast/Beach
Walking distance to the beach takes about 12 minutes, otherwise it takes 5 mins by car. Remember Cala'n Porter is set "above" the bay,, so its a trek downhill to the waterside. Worth it when you get there. It is the most safest of bays for young children.

Golf
There is a very pretty 18 hole golf course on the north of the island about 30 mins drive away.....car rental necessary.

Travel
The airport is 15 mins away by car...the ferry terminal in Mahon Port 20 mins.

Distances
Next village to Cala'n Porter is San Clemente, 12 mins by car.

Booking notes
On reserving the property, a deposit is required immediately and the balance due 8 weeks before the arrival date. A deposit for damages and breakages required. This will be refunded at the end of the stay. Please note : No young 'singles' groups allowed. Only families with children or senior couples/groups.

This was our first experience in renting a holiday villa and it worked out perfectly which is largely thanks to the owner, Caroline, who made the whole process very easy with regular contact by email prior to arrival so as to ensure everything was ready for us, ask her anything and you will receive a prompt reply every time.

Having just returned home from Menorca, I feel that I have to write a review on this wonderful house!

We weren't sure what to expect after holidaying in rented properties abroad before but feel that we struck gold with this one. Thanks to Caroline and the beautiful island of Menorca we would certainly go again!
