There's a fantastic golf course only 10 mins from the villa. Vall D’Or is a renowned 18 hole golf course (par 71) 5,539m long. With an excellent restaurant and snack bar.

Notes on accommodation
Individual air-conditioning and heating units are installed in each room. The lounge has an attractive glass fronted wood burning stove for added cosyness in off-peak occupation. Electric radiant heaters are installed in each bathroom. Everything was brand new in 2008, families with young and older children are welcomed to this family friendly resort. Cots and high chairs are provided for younger children when required. A personal key is provided for select access to the magnificent 430 sq. metre private communal pool, which offers built in water beds and jacuzzis well as a splendid safe Childs splash pool. The whole area is set in beautiful lawned garden with palm trees and thatched beach type parasols. The community clubhouse facilities include a hot tub, sauna and exclusive bar and dining facilities. Access is also available to an enclosed children's playground with cushioned flooring .The area offers an idyllic haven for those who like an occasional change from the beach experien

Accessibility
The two storey villa provides no special disabled facilities. However, the provision of a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower means the villa should be able to accommodate the needs of most people. An extra wide front doorway should facilitate wheelchair access (although the one shallow step to the outside terrace does not have a ramp).

Outside
The villa has a large covered terrace leading out onto an attractive landscaped rear garden. The property, uniquely located on a corner plot, with unimpeded views of open green land to the pine forests leading down to the sea. A selection of sun loungers and recliners are provided. The garden is equipped with 2 portable barbecues (for chasing the last rays of evening sun), along with a full range of barbecue equipment. Two large patio dining tables with four chairs each (one situated on downstairs patio and one on roof terrace).This means the largest party are able to dine together al fresco. The two upstairs bedrooms have access to extensive solarium terraces offering all day sunshine .When the heat is too much a rooftop shower is available to cool off (from experience the use of flip-flops are recommended after showering to prevent blistered feet on hot patio tiles!). The roof terrace is an ideal place to capture the views of the sunset and later the myriad stars in the ink black nig

Coast/Beach
The villa is just a 20 min stroll/ 3 min drive from the beautiful Blue Flag sandy beach at Cala Murada.The beach has its own lifeguard,with beach umbrellas Pedalos & sunbeds available for hire.The attractive beachside restaurant offers cold beers drinks,& snacks on the patio area at the beach edge all of which are good value & quality. For the more active,a rock walk around the headland to the next bay (Cala Es Domingos)is well worthwhile.Each Thursday (9 to 1) a small beachside market is held.

Golf
The fabulous Vall d'Or 18 hole par 71 golf course is just a 10 min drive away (8km) on the road towards Cala d'Or. The course (5,539m long from white tees) combines 2 completely different landscapes for the front and back nine. The front nine has rolling fairways surrounded by a forest of pine almond and olive trees. The back nine has wider and more uneven fairways playing down towards the coast road. The golf course is demanding yet entertaining with magnificent views of the coastline. The clubhouse was opened in 1999 and is located on top of a hill. Even non golfers (who are most welcome) can enjoy the stunning views of Porto Colom and Cala d'or from the spectacular canopied sun terrace. A cold beer & club sandwich whilst enjoying the panoramic view is highly recommended. The restaurant, bar and locker rooms offer everything a golfer could wish for. The std.18 Hole Green-fee is around 90 euros (various discounts available).There are also several other good courses in the locality

Travel
Palma airport approx 55km.to the villa using the new east bound motorway by-passing Llucmajor. Pre-booked car hire is recommended for maximum enjoyment of your holiday at Cala Murada. All major car hire companies can be found at Palma airport, this makes pick up and drop off of cars, simple and painless. For those who prefer not to drive and have a transfer from the airport, there are several taxi firms in the area, willing to do airport transfers (contact numbers can be provided).

Distances
The nearest village is the centre of Cala Murada 25 mins walk or 4 mins drive. Nearest larger towns, to the north- Calas de Mallorca 6 mins drive, Porto Cristo app12 mins (with Caves of Drach nearby).Inland towns Manacor is the largest 30mins(famous for pearl factory ,shops and markets), Felanitx is smaller but with large supermarket and market days etc. To the south Porto Colom is 6 mins drive, Val d'Or golf 7 min, Cala d'Or with at least 7 lovely beaches 12 mins drive with shops, restaurants

Further details
Small supermarket selling English papers, fresh bread milk, etc can be found a few mins from the villa, going down towards the beach, they are open from 8am-1pm and again from 4pm-8pm, there is a lovely little restaurant alongside. On a Thursday there is a small market at the beachfront from 9am-1pm they have fresh produce, fruit, olives, cheese, clothes hand made gifts, and plants. Further round into the village you will find a larger supermarket, along with restaurants and banks. There are so many beautiful places to discover on the island:-The caves of Drach and the caves of Hams, with their underground lakes and light shows- Mallorcas largest pearl factory at Manacor where you can see the pearls being made into jewellery and a shop where you can purchase them- Discover the quaint fishing village of Porto Cristo- Sit by the harbour and have a drink or a meal at Porto Colom-Why not take a trip on the Starfish boat which you can catch at Porto Colom or one of the many other beautiful coves it visits right down to Cala d'Or and beyond to Cala Mondrego and Cala Figuera (Check the timetable and stop off for an hour or so at one and return on a later boat).

Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required with all bookings with the balance being payable in full 12 weeks before departure. Any bookings made within twelve weeks of departure are immediately payable in full. A £200 security deposit is payable with the balance and will be refunded to you immediately after changeover (assuming satisfactory examination by management company).
