‘Villa Mir’ is situated on the edge of Cala Galdana in a secluded residential area. The villa is sheltered by trees, offering peace and quiet for our guests. The beach is only 5 mins walk from the end of the garden through the pine forest. Alternatively the beach and main resort are 20 minutes walk along the road. The main resort has 4 and 5 star hotels which have evening entertainment, restaurants, bars, beach bars, children's play areas, waterslides, and crazy golf.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day - Saturday. Arrival - access to villa from 4pm. Departure from villa by 10am. This can be flexible depending on when next guests are due to arrive.

The villa has an open fire upstairs for out of season visitors.
Accessibility
Approximately 15 steps lead down to the villa.
Outside
The villa has a large established garden with olive, apple, plum, lemon, and apricot trees. There is also a large bouganvilla outside the upstairs apartment. The rear garden backs on to a pine forest through which yo can access the main beach at Cala Galdana.
The villa has a large traditional Spanish BBQ situated on a large patio. The patio also has 10 sun loungers and table, 4 chairs and umbrella.
The upstairs accommodation has a large enclosed patio that looks over the pool and garden. The patio has a large table and 6 chairs.
Coast/Beach
Cala Galdana is one of the most beautiful of the 120 golden beaches on the island. It has pine-clad cliffs enclose a large horseshoe bay with emerald green water and gently shelving golden sand. The bay is ideal for young children wishing to paddle or build sandcastles, or older children wanting to snorkel or ride the pedalos. It is 5 minutes walk from the villa.
The picturesque beaches at Macarella and Mitjana are 20-30 minutes walk along cliff top paths that offer stunning views of the bays.
Golf
An 18 hole golf course is available approximately 40 minutes drive at Son Park, in the north of the island.
Special interest holidays
Menorca is ideal for bird watching and walking during in spring and autumn.
During the summer season local scuba diving schools offer excellent scuba training courses or trips to local wrecks.
Menorca also offers many cycle paths for mountain bikers.
Travel
The airport is at Mahon, 25 minutes drive from Cala Galadana. We can arrange pick up and drop of to/from the airport. A car is not essential.
Distances
The resort of Cala Galdana is only 20 minutes walk away. The beach is only 5 minutes walk. Ciutadella, the old capital, on the western coast is 25 minutes by car. Mahon, the capital, is 30 minutes by car. The beautiful beaches at Sant Tomas and Son Bou are 25 and 35 minutes by car.
Further details
Cala Galadana resort has cash points, telephones, restaurants, beach bars, bars, supermarkets, chemist, doctors. Kayaks, pedalos, motor boats can be hired on the beach. Excursions to places of interest can be booked at the local hotels.

I wanted to write to you to let you know that we had a fantastic week in villa Mir despite our outgoing flight being cancelled! Les was very helpful and let us stay an extra day at the end to make up the 7 days! The villa is superb and the location great - we will all definitely recommend it to our friends.
